Whatever they want to call it, to the rest of America it's just farking hilarious.

Sideshow?

I hate to tell the article's author, but, in the GOP, that sideshow is actually the freakin' main event. The entire GOP really is nuttier than a box of squirrel turds.

You should all click on the video for Herman Cain's smoking ad.

Apparently, not only did he steal 9-9-9 from Sim City, he stole the smoking ad, too.

Dusk-You-n-Me: Obama beats all GOP challengers in Ohio poll.

Ooh, Quinnipiac too. Damn, even Romney is outside the MOE, though not by much. I figured that Romney would hang within the margin.

I can't wait for the Obama/Romney debates.

Rick Perry has a lot of money. He'll be in this thing for a while, pushing Romney further and further to the right. None of those other freaks has a chance, and Romney knows it. His only serious competitor is Perry.

So, Romney will spend the next several months talking about how he masturbates to pictures of Iraqis being tortured or something, and then he'll have to deal with Obama.

He will 1) have lost the moderates completely 2) have no cult of personality like Sarah Palin. 3) have had his record torn to shreds.

The only thing that will better than the Obama/Romney debate will be the Biden/Absurd VP candidate debate.

Unless Romney picks Huntsman, and he won't because they're both Mormons, Biden can and should show up to the debate drunk.

I just had this mental image of him stumbling out on to the stage several uncomfortable beats after his name is announced, shirtless except for a bowtie, covered in stripper-colored lipstick, a near-empty bottle of Jack in one hand and dragging a broken bar stool with the other.

well after perry said that debates are worthless, would be funny for perry to get the nomination and then refuse to debate obama.

at least romney can speak like an adult. which at least would make the debates potentially interesting.
on the other hand, obama could just repeat romney's record over and over and just ask "why candidate are you" until romney's head explodes

At this point Republicans should simply go with the new Goldwater just to flush this all out of their system. If they nominate a moderateish candidate, people will continue to scream that they lost because they weren't conservative enough.

This seems to happen a lot. In 2008 everyone was saying to take a close look at the third party candidates and give them a chance. They nominated Cynthia McKinney and Bob Barr. I think I'll stick with the corporate duocracy, thanks all the same.

Holy crap, that was stupid. Three close-ups and a person smoking at the end makes the two ads "similar"? By that metric, Cain's ad was eerily similar to "The Usual Suspects."

Funny. Neither can we.

Perry is a better candidate than he's shown so far. He needs to do well in Iowa and South Carolina to have a chance however.

So, Romney will spend the next several months talking about how he masturbates to pictures of Iraqis being tortured or something, and then he'll have to deal with Obama.

No. He just has to mention the words Obama and economy in the same sentence over and over.

He will 1) have lost the moderates completely 2) have no cult of personality like Sarah Palin. 3) have had his record torn to shreds.

As much as you don't want to believe it, this election (as is always is) will be a referendum on teh president. He can sling shiat at the GOP all he wants but unless the economy completely turns around he's toast.

Their platform has, in fact, been written out. It's a three-part plan:

1) Lovey-dovey.
2) Lovey-dovey.
3) Lovey-dovey all the time.
