Actually, I believe they settled out of court. At least according to the documentary on espn last night.

No worries. Lucky I clicked before commenting. I still wonder how much Sly gave him.

that movie had writing?

I liked the movie. It was an 80's action movie. That's all I wanted.

/also Charisma Carpenter

Yep. And thus, the only important information in the article is not the lawsuit, but the release date of the sequel.

Fun Fact: Roger Corman let ol Sly write his own dialogue in Death Race 2000.

The movie was okay. The action scenes were cool. I prefered Rambo 4.

The writing was garbage, even for an '80's' style flick. I felt like the actors were all reading from different scripts and it was stitched together in FinalCut.

RivenSilver: that movie had writing?

I'm assuming the guy wrote down the sentence "generic action movie dialogue and explosions" and then sued for plagiarism

Lucky he is just being sued.

Yeah I walked into The Expendables expecting Oscar Caliber performances by some of the finest dramatic and well rounded actors of our time. Imagine my disappointment when it was just a buch of shooting and things blowing up and semi witty one liners!? OUTRAGE! Oh and dont get me started on Jason Stahams scenes that man is just pure AWFUL!

/Screw you Subby
//It was a a good movie for what it was
///Will go see the sequel in the theatre too
/Slassh it up!

Don't get why people react this way about Stallone. The dude is incredibly smart.

Exactly. Yeah, the movie had its flaws, but overall it was a great tribute to 1980s blockbuster action movies. I can't wait for the sequel.

Also, I can't believe that Charisma Carpenter is in her fourties. She looks hotter than most women in their twenties.

Name one male aged 25-40 who didn't have this idea. Let's see, Have every action star from the last 30 years team up and blow shiat up. Yeah, no one eevvvvveeeeeeerrrrrrr thought of that before.

/Wepner had a case, this shiathead doesn't

Short story? Hell, in reality, he stole the idea from Tarrantino who tried to recruit Stallone, Swarzenegger, and other 80's action heros to make up the Inglorious Basterds, in a modern retelling of The Great Escape.

Stallone was inspired by the concept of getting all those guys together, but his ego wasn't about to let Tarrantino get the credit, so he refused, and made his own film, and then QT adjusted his direction and made HIS own film.

This. He's easily the most intelligent of the big action guys... well, him and Dolph Lundgren. Arnie is pretty bright too, actually, but not necessarily as "creative". JCVD is also not exactly a moron, probably around average to above average.

I dunno, all action guys get a bad rap. It's lame but hatas gonna hate.

Well, when you're in a movie called "Stop! Or my mom will shoot!", one assumes you are incapable of reading the scripts being sent your way.

Perhaps someone who removed his greenlight list because people were calling him on his shiat?

I remember back when I was a kid and my school yard chums and I would have a debate who would win Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone. Does that mean I get a cut of the plagiarism money?
