It sounds like they sent in the debate team and chess club after that and still won 69-3.

This is definitely some sort of record.

We've secretly replaced this high school football team with the Indianapolis Colts. Let's see if anyone notices.

Louisville Catholic Sports. Nice. I wouldn't be shocked if Trinity and St. X could both beat the Horse right now.

It's interesting, Catholic schools in Maryland tend to be pretty stacked athletically, but friends told me the ones in PA were mostly worthless.

Was it "run" and "pass"?

The scoring was Madden-esque.

It varies. The top ranked AAAA (big school) in the state is Pittsburgh Central Catholic. There are one or two Catholic schools in the top ten at each of the four levels. Link (new window)

If I'm reading the end of TFA right, the losing team was dropped to 8-1 by this loss. Looks like someone is playing out of their league.

You arent. The losing team is now 2-7, the winning team is 8-1.

drkdstryer: Was it "run" and "pass"?

The headline made it sound like they had two plays they called repeatedly, but they only ran two plays from scrimmage in the first six minutes.

Opening kickoff return
Punt return
10 yard TD pass (after a recovered fumble)
37 yard TD run (after a turnover)
Pick-6
Pick-6
Fumble return

I liked how they scored 7 touchdowns in 5.5 minutes and the article enthusiastically states, "At one point they were on a touchdown-per-minute pace." While impressive that sentence isn't nearly as impressive as the truth, "At one point they were only on a touchdown-per-minute pace."

We've replaced this game with a real-life enactment of a Tecmo Super Bowl game. Let's see if anyone notices.

"Teams agreed to shorten the second half and keep a running clock. Bethlehem scored a field goal late in the game but it was a tough ride back to Nelson County after a 69-3 loss"

Couldn't someone have suggested that for the Saints game on Sunday night?

Games like this go down in my public high school's league. One year we got beat 70-13. I lost a bunch of money on the game because I bet people we'd lose by at least 60 and we didn't get that last TD until the other team's 4th string was in.

My team got beat 311-24 once. We muffed the kickoff in the end zone to be recovered for a TD 26 consecutive times.
