If their warplanes and nuke plants are anything like the cars they sell in America, then nothing of value was lost.

So, they got the plans for King Oni?

Sure, the Zero was good 70 years ago, but the 3000GT was good 20 years ago. It's been a while since they've made anything good.

The 3000GT is good? Those things weigh more than a Taurus or Intrepid.

800HP sounds like a lot right? Until you put it in a Battleship.

well to be fair, if you succeeded in one of the most brutal rapes of an entire city, you'd be pretty hated by those people for centuries to come too.

\that's why you nuke them from orbit after

It WAS good. they haven't made the thing since like 95. It was a great car for its time. Twin turbo v6 and AWD and it handled like it was on rails. The downfall being how difficult they are to fix if you break it. It was very advanced for the time.

/I hope you aren't thinking of the Nissan GT-R which is a weighty ass-kicker itself.

Nanking was just one part. They occupied most of the coastal cities under brutal martial law for nearly a decade and performed bio-weapons experiments on civilians. None of their occupations were particularly pleasant. The Japanese military ethos at the time was very brutal. The Officers were extremely brutal to the men in training. The officers themselves were extremely brutal to one another in training. It was all meant to inspire toughness, stoicness, and rigidity. Weakness wasn't just shunned it was not tolerated. Ergo: they almost never surrendered and didn't like taking prisoners. They treated weak, pitiful civilian populations harshly and full of disrespect. Don't forget, this is the same society who thought warrior ethos and fighting spirit was more important than actual equipment (at least, until inferior equipment got them hammered on the ground a couple times.) The PTO was a nasty, dirty war.

Nah the 3000GT was a heavy monster. It weighed 3100lb at it's lightest to over 4000lb at it's heaviest. Most version were somewhere on the higher end of that closer to 4K.

Other things that weight 4K:

Ford Crown Vic
Small SUVS
Lighter full size trucks and heavier compact trucks.
Bugatti Veyron

4 thousand pounds is a freaking monster for a car with a 300HP.

I have never understood the love for that car. People see twin turbos and go full retard.

This is Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, so it's worse. They may have stolen plans for the RX-78.

A Mitsubishi division built a shiatload of stuff where I work. Highly automated robotic type stuff up to the 500-ton class. Wonder if they stole the plans for that too.

/but I think an American company built the big-ass laser system for the biggest robot.

There was no dodge stealth in Gran Tourismo

My '04 Toyota Matrix is holding up amazingly well; I got it in '03 brand new, its got a
tick under 172K miles and is still running like a dream and getting 30 MPG highway.
I just had it in for a dealer service and they commented on how well it was holding up,
and all I've done was be religious in getting basic oil change and service every 3
months (though apparently I will need a new catalytic converter soon).

Granted, it isn't in the category of the GT-R, but every Toyota me or my family has
ever owned has been a great car that succumbed either to sheer age related wear
(we've had a Camry and an SR5 that lasted well over 200K) or rusted out (in the case
of a couple of older models). Contrast that with my '95 Saturn SL2 (made while they
were supposedly 'good'), that had a problematic electrical system from day one that
literally started to fall apart at 110K as if I'd tripped a switch. I will never buy American
again, or at least never buy a GM product.

BTW: Mitsubishi built the F-15 under license (the F-15J), and I'd hardly call the
possibility of those plans nothing of value.
