Another reason why a minor league would be great.

Is he really surprised no one wants to add a cancer to their Locker Room? I keep wondering why teams keep picking up these WR's that think they are the only ones that matter on the team, looks like that is changing now.

sounds like TO is PO'd nobody SU'd to his WO.

Hang 'em up failtrain. No ring for you. Hopefully no ring for Ocho Potato either. Learn to put the team first before you spew on social networks or turn your sport into a sideshow.

//had to put up with "Chad Johnson" at Oregon State. Call him 'having fun' or whatever you want. Sure he has fun, but man he is a douche when the spotlight isn't all about him.

theres no advantage for a team to show up. theyc an see all they need to through video and showing up creates a circus for their team, with the media asking the players about it.

Sports agents should use him as an example of what not to do and how not to act.
"See, when you're an a-hole for your entire career, nobody will want to work with you after it's over."
If he were at all likeable he could have a second career doing anything; endorsing products, television sports analyst, spokesperson for a non-profit, or motivational speaker. He could do greater things with his life. He could really help people in need. He's already well spoken, doesn't sound anything like Shannon Sharpe, and is a good looking guy.
Instead, no one wants him on their team and no one will hire him to do anything except, maybe, Dancing With The Stars. He will die a lonely man because he is an a-hole who drops passes and has a big mouth.

I had FJax, and traded him for Brandon Marshall after week 2, since I thought I was "selling high". Dammit. I'll have to make do with L McCoy, Gore, DeMarco Murray, and Felix Jones. Torain's also on my bench, hopefully he'll start doing something.

I'm tempted to try and sell Murray high, but I'll feel like such a jerk if he turns into the Ariane Foster of this year. I'm weak at QB (Schaub hasn't been great) and Finley isn't doing much for me at TE

We'll see what he does against the Eagles, though their run D isn't exactly good either. I've been going with Freeman at Qb all year, and that's been pretty disappointing. My biggest issue has been having V Davis as my TE trying to share the 49ers offense with Frank Gore- usually, only one of them does well, since there isn't much to go around.

I will say this- Murray just looks FAST compared to other RBs- he's got that "second gear" breakaway speed that just leaves defenders behind, and can turn small chips into big gains pretty easily. I'll hang onto him if only for the 10+ YPC avg.

GimpyNip: A lot of NFL fans only remember player's primes. They get all excited about football players who have nothing left like McNabb, Palmer, and TO. I think NFL fans may be the least educated about the rate of decline in this sport. That said, it is forgivable that some fans would react this way to news. It isn't their job, they just want to be entertained and they don't remember how long ago 2005 was.
What is said is when GMs also share this fan-amnesia and trade numerous picks or millions of dollars for one of these shells.

This thread is amusing though, 'Oh, maybe he'll help the Bears!' ignoring the fact that TO no longer has any burst or the fact that WR never transition well Midseason.

The problem with that is that on occasion, someone past their prime still has one or two good seasons left in them. The Vikes almost made it to the promised land with both Favre and Cunningham. And our cast off Rich Gannon had a couple of good seasons with the Raiders. That was our thinking when we signed McNabb, and well, we can't make magic all of the time.

/TO still sucks, though. Let him go play arena ball with Duante Culpepper.

It's not like he was horrible last year. He had 983 receiving yards, 72 catches, 9 TD's. He was also put in IR and missed the last two games. I'd say he had a fine year for a 37-year-old WR.

That being said, I am not the biggest TO fan. Wish he would have just shut his mouth and played ball.

You're overlooking a major knee surgery. Even if you can sort of almost play 9 months to a year out, an ACL takes about 2 years to come back 100%, if it ever does. T.O. hasn't got 2 years remaining in his career under any circumstances. Having read the article, it didn't sound like he had enough left to be any better than some no-name you could sign off the street for rookie minimum.

Dear Minnesota Vikings,

Please dont even think about it. We know you have a penchant for washed ups and problem children, but TO is by no means any kind of help we as fans want to see. Remeber what happened with Randy Moss last year? Yeah think about that before you consider watching that tape.

Signed,
Vikings Fans!

I didn't think anyone liked Cutler. I'm a Bronco fan so I'm obviously biased against him. The guy has a rocket arm but he presses in the red zone and at the end of games worse than Favre. Plus his facual expressions and body language make him look like Harland Williams retarded step brother most of the time. Not really the look of steely determination you want your leader to have.

The red zone thing has pretty much gone away. While he still makes some questionable throws, he really has learned a lot about not trying to force things that aren't there.

I don't care about facial expressions or body language, and frankly I like that he yells at his offensive line when he's getting hit too much.

I also lol'd at "Tell Martz I said fark him!" that the tv camera caught in Minnesota. That was well-deserved. Why Martz hasn't been fired yet, I don't know. He KNOWS he doesn't have the personnel at wr or o-line to run his offense, yet he has to be told to scale back the 7 step drops or to call more run plays. If anyone can explain to me why he kept calling pass plays late in the game against Tamps Bay, I'd like to know. If you're up by that many points in the 4th quarter, you run the damn football.

He's an aging WR (would be the oldest in the league) and coming off major surgery. That alone would be enough to make most people balk.

But add in that he's a cancer everywhere he's been and that's the perverbial 'icing' on the cake.

But he's good enough that I think someone will want him but it'll be a struggling team and TO will turn 'em down.

I think he'd sign a one-year contract as a glorified audition for another contract with a better team.

TO wasn't a cancer in Dallas. He seemed to like it there, and the Cowboys seemed to like him in spite of the fact that he was an AW.

They just didn't want to keep paying him.
