It's a trap for a barefooted giant who will accidentally step on him in the middle of the night.

2011-10-25 02:35:53 PM
slap some water skis on him and ship him to winterhaven.

Here's a better picture of a lego man making a jump on skis.

I'd glue a big rubber dong on him with construction adhesive in the middle of the night.

2011-10-25 02:46:15 PM
Are they going to blow him up?

If only there was some kind of way to get Lego to stick to things.

I believe they are called min-figs, although it's hard to apply that term to one that is 8ft tall.

He would go in my front yard and I would name him George.

It's not clear how or why Leonard's sculpture made it to the Gulf coast of Florida, but it may have been done to coincide with the opening of Legoland Florida in Winter Haven earlier this month.

Gee, you think? May have been a coincidence???

When a minifig gets to being 8' tall, that becomes a mighty evil facial expression.

Can someone clear this up for me? Are there multiples of this guy, or is it the same one that the artist gets back and then flings off another boat somewhere?

2011-10-25 03:36:06 PM
I am working under the assumption the police were called when it was found. That must have been a great call.

2011-10-25 03:37:28 PM
Rose says the rightful owner has 90 days to come forward and claim him. After that, the person who reported finding him can pay a $25 fee to do so.

Huh?

"Oh, thanks a lot for reporting this found instead of just taking it. If nobody claims it, your reward is that you get to pay $25 to have it back"

Considering the price of a regular lego man, this one might be worth...

I'm guessing there are multiples - once you spend the time and money to make a mold of something like that, you make more than one. (probably fiberglass?)

I so freakin' want this thing. Will anyone else in the Tampa area help me come up with a believable story so I can tell the Sheriff it's mine and I misplaced it?

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat: It's a trap for a barefooted giant who will accidentally step on him in the middle of the night.

Or a giant parent threw it out the window after stepping on it in the middle of the night when going to get giant baby a giant glass of water.

Sure. They should just do any frivolous odd property hauling job because they get a call and put the man hours on the tax payer bill for everyone to pay.

If you want it, pay to get it out of lock-up. Zeesh.

RevBigfoot: I so freakin' want this thing. Will anyone else in the Tampa area help me come up with a believable story so I can tell the Sheriff it's mine and I misplaced it?

I'm sure the sheriff will hand it right over to you.

After you pay a $24.99 proof of ownership filing fee, a $79 public property environmental assessment, a $49.99 handling fee, a $23 convenience fee, a $3 stop sign reflectance enhancement charge and the usual $45 storage and transportation.

Don't forget the $400 fine for littering and the $250 court charges.
