Something with actual content

Salient extracts:
if they stick to a regimen that includes playing video games along with standard amblyopia treatment

Improvement was more likely in children younger than age 14 than in those 14 and older.

Ignoring the fallacious backslapping around how magically curative gaming can be, similar results could have been achieved through reading and looking at pr0n.

I just occurred to me, my video games habit is offsetting the ill effects of my porn habit. Thus, there is balance and harmony in the world.

Someone change the headline to reflect this revelation

I used to be a serial killing kleptomaniac. Then I discovered Diablo II. Not only did it whet my appetite for blood, it completely filled my need for swiping random items! I could have been g-rushing my way to a federal PMITA prison but, now, I'm safe in my parents' basement. The only thing I'm killing now is: time. Thanks, Activision Blizzard Vivendi Entertainment Universal Corporation, Inc.!

You know, for a long time I genuinely believed that games helped to provide a healthy and harmless outlet for aggression that might otherwise harm others, but sadly I was forced to change my mind and side with the Jack Thompsons of the world. I don't like to admit it but it is true.

See, I bought Daikatana when it was first released, and after playing it for a couple of hours I had a sudden and intense urge to forcefully flush John Romero's head down a toilet several times in succession. Does that make me a bad person?

Yesterday I interviewed a mother and her ten year old son for our paper. Last year he received a wish from the Children's Wish Foundation, and he opted to have a spending spree at Future Shop. So of course he got a tv and stereo, a PS3, and a mess of games.

The mother said they could have taken a family vacation, but that would have only done him good for such a short time. The video games helped him take his mind of the pain resulting from his Leukemia. She believes that was one of the biggest roles in his recovery.

/Just thought I'd throw that in here.
//I have the hiccups, so I should probably go home and play CoD.
