It cant be any worse than the sitcoms on every other channel... Except Nick and Disney which pull out all the stops on their Tween Shows. I love wathcing those.

You watch Nick at Nite for the nostalgia. That's the only reason it exists.

This has cancelled written all over it

2011-10-24 01:57:30 PM
That's ridiculous. Everybody knows that they killed Scott Baio after the initial cancellation, replaced him with a clone programmed to indoctrinate pubescents into the teachings of Scientology, and Ellen Travolta was brought in as his handler.

I don't remember much about that show, other than fapping over Nicole Eggart and Josie Davis. Oh, and hating Willie Aames. If I'd had to play the pre-Urkel white Urkel, I would've offed myself too.

FTFA: The project was created by writer-producer Tina Albanese (CSI) and actor Patrick Labyorteaux (Little House On The Prairie), who are executive producing with Baio as well as Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey through their production company Bischoff Hervey Entertainment.

You went from running the number one wrestling promotion into obscurity, to making crappy TV sitcoms for hasbeen actors like Scott Baio in less than 10 years. Good job, buddy.

Nick@Nite hasn't been a home for "old" sitcoms in years. TVLand came along for them to shovel the "old" shows to, then even it started showing reality crap and shows way too new to be considered "classic TV." Just glad the Dick van Dyke show is making a comeback on TVLand.

I spent a while trying to figure out the headline until I realized it read "Nick at Nite" and not "Nick Nolte".

Hey, to be fair, he's still busy running another national wrestling company into the ground. TNA's death will be coming even sooner thanks to Bisch and Hogan.

TNA really is a waste of talent.

Amen brother.

You want old sitcoms you have to hook into Antenna TV. I watch an hour of Burns & Allen followed by an hour of Jack Benny every morning (from 2-4 AM). The shows are still entertaining to me, and you will never see those on Nick@nite.

Scott Baio has nailed Beverly D'Angelo, Denise Richards, Pam Anderson, Nicole Eggert, Heather Locklear, Erin Moran (snerk), Erika Eleniak, and Nicollette Sheridan. All while in their prime. The dude is a god.

The Hardy boy is a drugged out wreck, Sting is old and has a horrible gimmick, Foley's headed back to WWE, and Hogan, Bischoff and Russo are running things.

That last one is the reason why TNA sucks so bad... Hogan, Bischoff, and Russo.

...an actor who after 10 years of starring as America's favorite TV dad becomes a stay-at-home father to honor the deal he made with his soap-star wife so she can return to the limelight.

Let's do the list:

- Scott hilariously screws up the kids morning routine when Mom has to get to a shoot early, resulting in Grade School Son not getting to do X, but he somehow makes it right in the end and they all learn a valuable lesson
- Scott has a hilarious misunderstanding with a teacher that results in him having to bake something, which he hilariously screws up but somehow makes it right in the end and they all learn a valuable lesson
- Scott has a hilarious over-reaction to TeenAge Daughter dating a kid that looks as much like young Scott Baio as possible, but he somehow makes it right in the end and they all learn a valuable lesson

etc, etc. Everyone one of us (should we be strong enough to avoid slitting our wrists) could sit down tonight after work and write 3 seasons worth of this drek.

Yes, in fact most shows without a laugh track are single-camera shows (30 Rock, The Office, Community, Parks & Rec, It's Always Sunny, The League). Basically if it feels like you are there listening to the conversation, it's a single camera show.

Usually sitcoms & soap operas are multi-camera (where one scene is filmed at multiple angles at the same time).

"Multi-camera" means the episodes are performed like a stage play in front of an audience. A "single camera" show is shot like a movie, with no audience. Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men are multi-camera shows, The Office and 30 Rock are single-camera.

/the more you know...

Also, Multi-Camera means it's more likely to be hackneyed, cliche-ridden, and have a horrible laugh track that's too loud and features people who have been dead since the 1950s prompting you to laugh because you're too dumb to get the lame jokes.

Eric Bichoff and Jason Hervey? biatchoff is already screwing up TNA Wrestling, and I can't for the life of me wonder how the hell he thinks he's going to have anything to do with a successful television show when he can't even get wrestling right. Yes, that Jason Hervey is the guy from The Wonder Years. They've been partners for years. No, not THAT kind of partners.. well... who knows, right?
