Sure that stuff reeks, but it's hardly a reason to shoot the guy.

"I'd hold off judgement on a thing like that until all the facts are in."

If he's a viking, he's perfectly normal. Who am I to say otherwise?

If it had only been a pair of female cops they would have been unable to resist him!

As a loyal Canadian, I feel it's my duty to hate the CBC. Except for it's radio, which is excellent.

If you lived in the Citadel Neighborhood, one of the many Vinyl Palace rat traps in Calgary, you may be excused for going a bit crazy with an axe.

Just trying to navigate them puts me into borderline axe-swinging territory.

He is the only sane human on this planet.

Reading nothing but the headline, it would be easy to assume that he continues wielding the axe. I can see him all choppy-choppy in the shrink's office as his mental health is being questioned:

Shrink: So how did your father's leaving make you feel?
AxeGuy: I was MAD! (chops up desk) Really Really Mad! (chops up sofa)
Shrink: Good. Good. I think we're making real progress here.

Really? Is it this guy's fault that no one in Canada has read Sutter Cane?

Yes, it is a clever and timely use of a much-neglected meme.

Oh, I've seen that movie...

Sometimes I wonder why I do it myself.

I mean, maybe waiving around a bloody ax and shouting "Who wants chicken for dinner?" is a little crazy.

At least on the subway.

Axe-wielding Canadian.

Well, it is sort of dependent upon location, isn't it? I mean, a guy out in a log cabin in the woods chopping firewood is an axe-wielding man, but I don't think anyone would think it obvious that his mental health is in question. However, a guy wielding an axe in the middle of a Chuck E. Cheese or, say, in a public library, now that's a different story.
