What, no Carlyle Group?

This strikes me as being exactly the sort of thing the OWS people are all up in arms about.

Most of those are banks. This what you get when you legalize interest on loans. Everyone becomes the slave of the lender, and to not borrow is to die. The only way to break the cycle is to destroy all money lenders. They must be purged from this world, and all their descendants must be destroyed to prevent further corruption.

Privately held.

or we could simplify and just say Goldman Sachs controls us government and the us government controls the rest...

/ok maybe slightly oversimplified...but only slightly.

I think this goes a LITTLE too far. :P

Interesting, AXA is the most influential insurance company. It's not a name I hear often.

Same sentiments. You can't even rent a car today without someone checking your credit score.

You know, I gotta say...Go watch So I Married an Axe Murderer again. I think it's on Netflix streaming, or maybe like Crackle, one of those other services.

That is a movie that has not aged well. I mean, it's not like it was Animal House good even back in the day, but to watch it now is horrible. Meyers is just painful to watch as the main character, and even his good lines as the Dad have lost a lot of the funny.

But they are still second fiddle as long as we allow some to print up what ever amount of money they want to get their way.

Hmm, seems to me I should switch to Barclays, if they're the biggest corporation in the world then there's no way they're going to go down.

Anyway, subby, I believe the Rothschilds own over half those banks, the Queen and the Vatican own the rest. Best of all, they're all aliens, just to rub some salt in.

I Just wanted to mention that I finally got to visit the Getty Museum, and it's a very impressive collection. And it's FREE (except parking), so if you are in, near, or visiting Los Angeles, you should make it a priority.

loser52: neither a borrower nor a lender be, and it follows as the night the day, thou canst not be false to any man.

This line is often quoted by people who are not familiar enough with the character, scene and play. This character is giving questionable, if not outright bad and possibly deluded advice. Maybe due to senility.

This is often my go to movie when the old lady and I get hammered. I haven't watched it sober in years. I suggest getting pissed and watching.

It's worth it just for the scenes with Alan Arkin.
