This is ridiculous. As an American living in Syria, I have never felt endangered. Bashar is not only a competent president, but a wonderful man. What the Western media is not reporting is the truth. These protests are fueled by anti-Syrian terrorists who are trying to take over the country by way of brainwashing its young people. Anyone over twenty-five sees through the lies. Please, write your Congressman and tell him or her to support Bashar.

We should have started with Syria instead of Iraq

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but you may be in trouble, friend.

Now that Libya is under out control, Iran, Best Korea and Syria are the only nations without a Rothschild controlled central bank. We've just pulled our ambassador to Syria out. Prepare for the bombings.

With Gaddafi out of the way, the next pin to fall will by your beloved Syria and Assad.

It's unfortunate, because that region seems to need strongmen to keep rival factions from tearing the place apart (like what has happened in Lebanon).

"Vocally support the overthrow"? I thought all he did was tour the cities and comment on the atrocity that is shooting at unarmed, nonviolent demonstrators.

If that's wrong, I don't wanna be right.

[cite]
"The departure was the latest turn in the tumultuous tenure of Mr. Ford, whose visits to restive cities like Hama and attendance at a funeral for a slain activist have made him a visible figure in Syria.

Since the uprising erupted in March, he has been vocal in his criticism of the government crackdown, even posting statements on his Facebook page."

They're hot and bothered to lead another coalition where America supplies the majority of the firepower. To actually do something on their own, we shall see.

As an Ambassador to a country (not just a government), the first job is to represent the U.S. to the host country and its people. That includes defending the values of the source country. The view of the Obama administration is that they Assad government has lost its legitimacy to begin with--the 'people' as a whole are now their own legitimate representatives.
