I'd take her midnight train.

I'd get her wheel in the sky turning.

I'd spread her legs separate ways (worlds apart).

In July he married a Playboy Playmate. I know Michaele's husband filed for divorce, but what about Neal's wife? WTF?

An ostentatious middle-age crisis is so embarrassing to witness.

So let me get this straight:

He was married to someone who looks like this at age 49:

and he left her for the blond version of the crypt keeper?

And world-class attention whore. She (and husband) trespassed into an official state dinner at the White House.

You know... that Salahi woman seems like she is fairly down to earth and is probably a pleasure just to hang out with.

If you're rich, you need to just move your ass to Dubai and farking BUY yourself a few teen age hotties. Why would you date some old, fake ass blonde gold digging skank when you could have a farking harem?

I'd pay an extra $10,000 for a carbomb included.

Has he sent a personal thank you note to every Journey fan who's paid horrifically bloated ticket prices for making this all possible?

I really, really hate Journey. That video game of theirs was pretty cool though.

Because then you'd be living in Dubai.

Don't stop believing in royalties, because if you do, both could go separate ways. And if they do, who would be crying now? And if those royalties stop, the lights will do down in the city.

/I got nothing here, just a Monday off, which is OK ;)

Crap, I bet residuals from Glee alone (TV show, traveling live shows, cast album) are enough to pay their electricity and cocaine bills.

Believe it or not Journey is still one of the top grossing bands in the world right now. From Wikipedia:
"Receipts from the 2008 tour made Journey one of the top grossing concert tours of the year, bringing in over $35,000,000.On December 18, 2008, Revelation was certified platinum by RIAA. The band's second album with Pineda, Eclipse, was released on May 24, 2011, and debuted at No.13 on the Billboard 200 chart and debuted at Top 40 hits in five different countries."

Also, with the new Philippino singer they're enjoying massive success in the Asia-Pacific region as well.

Ugh. Always hated Journey, and this woman is probably a horrible person. I say "probably" because I don't know her personally, but judging by the evidence, she's a horrible person.

Royalties, and they still pull huge merch and ticket sales on their tours. Their last studio album, released in 2009 or 2010, actually charted, IIRC.

The Salahis have gone their separate ways and now Michele is lovin', touchin' squeezin' Neal, but i'm sure Tareq would take her back with open arms. The girl can't help it if she's stone in love. Only the young can say if their love will go on faithfully, but I won't stop believing. Tareq told Michelle that "I'll be alright without you", but she just said, "Who's crying now?". When you love a woman, you can't always have it anyway you want it.

Saw them in concert in Denver on Oct 1st, along with Night Ranger (opener) and Foriegner.

In the middle of thier set, Schon did a pretty decent solo of "Happy Birthday" on his guitar to some blonde standing at the back of the stage. Now I realize who the blonde was. I was more impressed not knowing.

Arnel Pineda came note for note with Steve Perry on a couple of the bands songs. And it was nice to hear some original material too.

2011-10-24 06:21:25 PM
I admit I liked them too. But I'm curious who actually would go to their concerts nowadays? I'm picturing a stadium of 40ish milfs

Yep, and let's not forget that "Don't Stop Believin'" is the most downloaded song ever on iTunes thanks mostly to it being featured in the series finale of The Sopranos. I'll bet the guys in Journey made a lot of cash off that song's sudden spike in popularity.

I love all of you "how do royalties work" wonks.... seeing as you apparently don't seem to know how they work. Most bands don't make shiat off their royalties. I remember hearing one major band whining that five of them had to split 400K a year from all of their royalties, and this band had an ass heap of albums from the 80s and 90s (I think it was GnR or Metallica, a band in that genre). That's not much. That's why bands tour. You think the Eagles, Stones, Police, and all the other octogenarian bands are touring for the chicks? They are touring because it's the only profitable thing they do, unless they are the songwriter on or producer of an album. Then the royalties kick a little bit higher, but still not very much... Nowadays, a $1.29 download doesn't spew a lot of cash for royalties.... even if the song is downloaded a million times, you're looking at maybe 300K for the band to split, if that.

You guys do realize this is all pretty much a 'Work' for some TV reality show, right?
