Sanford, sex scandal aside, preached Tea Party insanity before it was cool to be in the Tea Party. He's a Tea Party hipster. Spitzer, sex scandal aside, did great things for New York and actually protected people that weren't at the top of his campaign donor list.

As the article points out the same guy has criticized Spitzer before, so what is the problem, that he didn't criticize Spitzer or CNN at the same time he talked about Sanford? Sanford was just hired, its new, that's why they call it News. Spitzer isn't related to the story or the joke or at all.

They might as well criticize a traffic update for reporting on an overturned truck on the interstate without mentioning that there was a stalled truck in an intersection on the other side of town three months ago.
