I don't mean to put down your black widow spider, but the funnel-web spider can kill a man in eight seconds, just by lookin' at him.

I was all ready to volunteer to set funnel web spiders on women's breasts until I understood these are not the cute little American funnel web spiders that scatter dew-covered webs across lawns (Agelenopsis, I think). They are killer Australian funnel web spiders that could probably take out a cassowary with seven legs tied behind their backs.

However, it will make her legs very hairy...

Tarantulas make neat pets. Had one as a kid. They can live for an awful long time, if you are careful.

Yeah, my dad has kept pet tarantulas since I was a kid. The first one, Snatch, lived for 16 years. He stuck it in his mouth and let it crawl up his face at a Halloween party one year.

The Hobo spider. You do NOT want to be bitten by one of them. They make the brown recluse look like Peter Pan. If they want to gather up these nasty little buggers then can come to my house and take as many as they want. I kill 10+ a week inside my house.

Thankfully 'clockies' aren't venomous

/but they are big enough to hold a pillow over your face while you sleep.

Fun fact: Eddie Brock was once dying of cancer until Spider-Man re-unites him with the symbiote, which has a natural immunity.

So, Venom does in fact cure cancer.

ORLY?

In the United States, the hobo spider has been considered to be a dangerous species based on a toxicology study on rabbits where lesions appeared after spiders were induced to bite the rabbits.[8] This laboratory study has led to the proposal that in some parts of the U.S. nearly all bites imputed to the brown recluse spider are in reality the hobo spider's bite.[9] The CDC and other U.S. government agencies (e.g. [2]) have also used this same study as the basis for a report claiming that the hobo spider bite causes necrosis in humans,[1] despite the absence of any confirmed cases. Subsequent attempts to replicate the study by injecting sufficient venom to ensure envenomation have failed to produce necrotic lesions, and there is even question as to whether the lesions observed in the original study were necrotic.[10]

On one hand, you should be aware of potential threats. On the other hand, you should chill out francis as well.

No need to worry about what might be until it happens. I try to avoid ALL spider bites because even if they're almost harmless and small they're still annoying.

They kill a man so fast they thought there was another dangerous species out there called a fur. People would come out of the bush and say "Help, I`ve just been bitter by a fuu..." and drop down dead. It took ages to realise they were trying to say "funnel web spider"

Good news everyone. The Tarantula Festival is this weekend in Coarsegold, CA. I'll pop on over and grab a bunch of tarantulas. Just bring your breasts to my house, and we'll get to curin'.
