Biden's okay but he's certainly not the best democrats can do.

If he wins the primary I wouldn't have a problem voting for him (If the GOP is still dominated by mouth foaming idiots), but he wouldn't be my first, second, or third choice.

Minus1Kelvin:

Warren is awesome, no question, but she would need a few more terms under her belt to be able to do 2016.

a few more terms of what?

she hasn't ever won an elected office.

She has so much political backing that she couldn't even get appointed to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Black, woman, whatever. How about Bloomberg? Oh yeah, I forgot, this country will elect an albino pagan lesbian with a lisp before it elects a Jewish president. Know why? Because once the country sees what a Jew can do, they'll never settle for a goyishe president again. Because once you go Jew, nothing else will do. However, that reminds me of a joke:

Sheila Silverman is elected the first Jewish woman President of the United States. She calls her mother and says "Ma, I want you to come to my inauguration." Her mother answers "But it's such a long drive from Boca..." Sheila Silberman says "Don't worry about it, I'll send Air Force One to pick you up." Her mother says "But I have nothing to wear..." Sheila Silberman says "I'm hiring the finest designers in the world to make you an inauguration gown. Now stop arguing, you're going to my inauguration."

So Sheila Silverman's mother goes to her inauguration. She finds herself on the reviewing stand sitting between a Supreme Court judge and a Senator. She turns to the Senator and whispers "Do you see that woman up there? That woman taking the oath of office of the President of the United States?" "Yes, Mrs. Silverman," the Senator whispers back.

"Her brother's a doctor."

Depending on how well the new Two and a Half Men show goes, I'd say Ashton Kutcher will pretty much have the nomination sewn up to run against President Romney.

The war in Iraq has been over for years. It is the broken campaign promise that has kept us there this long. I guess he needs the soldiers to send to Afghanistan. As far as OBL goes, it is his only foriegn policy success - killing people.

Obama had to choose Biden because Biden was the only person stupider than him. How stupid do you have to be to have to have Biden as VP to make you look better?

stoli n coke: EnviroDude: A plagarist and an idiot. Why not. He couldnt muck it up worse than the moron currently up there.

I know. Killing Osama, helping to topple Gadhafi, facilitating the end of the war in Iraq. What a farkup. He's not even saving a pretzel for the gas jets or coming up with an idiotic tax plan that can fit on a bumper sticker. At the very least he could have tried to un-gay Bachmann's husband or punish the google for getting Santorum in a froth.

In other words, STFU month old alt, you cock.

That being said, I like Joe Biden. I don't know if he's presidential yet, but he's massively entertaining.

No. F*ck Biden. He's too close to the White House as it is now...
I'm not a Democrat, but I've been known to vote for them when I think the candidate is the best choice. But there's no f*cking way I'll ever support Biden.

Not unless he does a 180 on his drug stance.

But he's boring. And dull. And he says dumb things. He's not going to win a presidential election.

As for the campaign promise, the timetable was set 3 years ago, and Obama honored it.

Idiots like you are why non-users don't support marijuana legalization. You're so focused on your right to smoke a bowl that it is the only lens that you judge through? Most activists for legalization do more harm than good because they come across as farking children.

Minus1Kelvin: Tusz: Biden has a temperament that belongs in the Senate. And, he'll be 73 in 2016. On the same angle, Clinton will be 69. I'd go with someone younger. Namely, Elizabeth Warren. Younger, actual liberal, no equivocation or reflexive capitulation. And it would be a nice to go from the center-right Obama administration to hers, in terms of making actual liberalism acceptable to the media and political culture again.

/we'd need a majority of solid D's in congress, and a fix of Senate rules to get anything done though.

Warren is awesome, no question, but she would need a few more terms under her belt to be able to do 2016, but she's totally who I want for first female POTUS. Maybe 2020? She'd be 71 by then though...meh, I guess that'd work.

Warren / Feingold or Feingold / Warren? Probably put Feingold second chair since he would know the Senate better.

Two actual Center-Left Democrats running instead of Center-Right Democrats? Imagine the sheer number of Derp Brigade heads that would asplode?

The funniest part of this is that a lot of these young Democrats will grow up in the next 4-8 years, figure out that what they knew to be correct was a bunch of shiat, and make the intelligent move to a more conservative candidate or party.

I don't do pot... or most drugs. Haven't done any illegal drugs in years, actually. But I believe strongly in the legalization of it.

It's not the only lens that I judge through. But, yes, it's a major issue.
Biden, however, has been a strong anti-drug crusader. That offends me.

That's not the only reason to not vote for Biden. There are many. The guy is not fit to be a leader. But the drug thing is a major issue with me, despite my non-usage.

I also started out as a libertarian capitalist type, then I grew up and got a job. Getting more conservative as you get older - assuming it is or ever was true - has, I suspect, more to do with brain loss due to aging.

tenpoundsofcheese: is that why you didn't vote for 0bama?

No. I voted for Obama. During the campaign, he'd said that he'd have the DEA end raids on medical marijuana. He wasn't entirely pro-drug legalization but it was promising. That changed, of course, once Obama actually got into office.

But with Obama, that was not one of the more important issues with me. Biden, on the other hand, had made being anti-drugs a specific issue as a Senator of Delaware. It was one of his special causes.

His push for making several drugs into Schedule I affected their use in medical tests which I strongly oppose. But the way illegal drugs are handled in this country is ridiculous and well in need of reform anyway.

Well the truth of it is by world standards america's "liberal" party is to the right of center anyway. It is just more near to the center than the far right conservative side.

The DEA raids on states with medical marijuana did stop for awhile but recently picked up again. Not a fan of that position of his either but I support him over the other options this election.

GAT_00: Because fark it, why not? I don't want Hillary. Never, ever. I'd absolutely love for Warren to run for it, but to straight first term Senators is unlikely to work. Who else from the Democratic Party would go? Phil Bredesen would be great if someone could get him to run. He won the Governor's office for the second time with 68% of the vote, the most lopsided in Tennessee history. He's also a big health care guy. But he sat out 2008 completely.

Here's the thing, Hillary's credentials are actually pretty impressive. She's got more all-around insight and political experience than any of the candidates running at the moment combined.
