D'Artagnan mooltipass!

2011-10-23 02:08:15 PM
Or is it possible all of this is a clever ruse by Mila & the marketing agency (Summit) to generate hype?

2011-10-23 02:24:04 PM
Translation: 'Why aren't more people looking at me?'

2011-10-23 02:26:04 PM
I'm going to go ahead and side with Milla on this one. I don't have to explain myself to you.

2011-10-23 02:26:17 PM
Yeah, Mila, I know about it. It looks like a giant steaming pile of shiat. Why is someone making yet another Three Musketeers movie? And why the fark did they decide to go with "oh, and what if there was a girl musketeer?"

It doesn't look like a "fun family film," unless your idea of fun is lobotomizing your kids.

It's also steampunk! There's blimps and shiat. You know, because it didn't suck enough by adding an entirely arbitrary character just to put someone with a tiny rack in a corset.

I don't care about anything but getting some of dat ass.

Just be a good girl and fark your director. That's really your entire job description. The whole speaking thing is unnecessary.

Well scratch that then.

No, that's what I meant. She was married to most of her directors.

Movie sucked and it was barely promoted.

Everyone is write and no one did a good job.

Better luck next time,Milady Cleavage.

The Three Musketeers is a "fun family film"? Have they actually read the book? Jesus Christ, that's as if Disney made a cartoon out of The Hunchb Oh, wait a minute. Movie studios suck.

It's a story about murderous thugs thuggin and murderin, and justifying it with politics.

2011-10-23 05:02:04 PM
never heard of it.

to be fair, I forgot they made this movie until I saw a preview for it 2 weeks ago. Looked pretty bad.

Lack of marketing is not the problem.
Milla is beautiful.
I'll watch it when it comes to FX.

In all fairness, they do mispronounce her name as well.

If I hear "The classic story remade for a new generation" one more time I'll drive a van full of fertilizer into Summit Entertainment's headquarters.

I saw a lot of commercials for it. I think people had the same reaction I did, "I'm not paying money to see that."

nursetim: I saw a lot of commercials for it. I think people had the same reaction I did, "I'm not paying money to see that."

Exactly...my thought every time I see the commercials (and there have been many) is "no thanks."

Why do we need yet ANOTHER Three Musketeers movie? Seriously, the book was great, but if you're going to do an unnecessary remake, try to make it not look like a moronic piece of shiat that appears to have nothing to do with the original story.

Was it just an excuse to sell "sexy musketeer" Halloween costumes? You can do that without making a movie.

Better yet, make it a video game. It looks like that's what the movie is trying to be anyway.

2011-10-23 05:48:41 PM
I went and saw it.
Don't judge me!

/I felt dirty afterwards!

There's a frame or two of it in the first Resident Evil. I'd like to thank Michelle Rodriguez for pointing that out...

It looks like Sherlock Holmes crashed into Pirates of the Caribbean with all of the good actors falling overboard.

They seem to be creating enough fertilizer on their own.

Pretty much. When I saw the trailer the first time, I was kinda on the fence about it. I mean, it looked dumb, but it also looked pretty, and Orlando Bloom makes for decent eye candy...and then I saw the airborne sailing ship.

I have to admit I've seen exactly zero commercials for this movie. The only reason I even know it exists is because there was an article in Entertainment Weekly about how bad it was.

Also, "Death Race" and "Resident Evil" are both playing on cable right now, so I'm getting a kick, etc.

I saw commercials for it, Milla. However, I didn't notice you were in them.

Which is good, because my only reaction to the commercials was something about how I'm avoiding that movie like it's the plague.

Yea...it looked like a generic film. Nothing that would make people go out of their way to see it.

With all the social media, texting, email etc. available to us these days we know pretty quickly if a movie stinks or not.

If she's upset about the marketing I can only think that she realized word of mouth would let everyone know it was a steaming pile & they wouldn't get the first day "Wow, that was NOTHING like I was expecting" group.

2011-10-23 07:36:09 PM
I'm not saying that that movie is bad, because I have never seen it. I just think that it was unnecessary. You see after David Hasselhoff and Cheech Marin made their glorious update of the 3 Musketeers genre called the Ring of the Musketeers I felt that perfection could never be improved upon and there was no need to ever have another 3 Musketeers movie ever. In fact the film was so great that they should have stop even making the 3 Musketeers candy bar because it is a insult for anything to even share the same name as David Hasselhoff and Cheech Marin's glorious movie. If I could dig up the corpse of Alexandre Dumas and reanimate it, I would immedietly show him the Ring of the Musketeers, and then I would have to bury him again because his head would have exploded at seeing the awesomeness of that movie.

When I first saw that there was going to be a girl musketeer, I rolled my eyes. When are we going to mature enough so we don't need token females in everything?

When I saw that female was going to be Milla Jovovich, my eyes popped out of my head, rolled out of my room, and I had to chase them down the street.

\I'm the guy sick of Milla Jovovich's shiat.

This is coming from someone who liked Ultraviolet. So I admit that I have absolutely no taste in film.

This movie looked like it was going to suck from the 1st teaser.

Sorry Milla. You are gorgeous, I'd kill to give you the 3 mins of disappointment that only I can muster. But, this one looked like crap from day 1.

I haven't seen the movie, but the character she's playing, Milady de Winter, is in the book.

Of course in the book she's not, like, a ninja, or whatever.

Paul W.S. Anderson has a reputation for bad movies, just my opinion. Haven't liked anything since Event Horizon
