That really hits me where I live. What have you done with those plans?! Gary here, never sees his daughter because of people like you!

The real reason TK-421 wasn't at his post was because his son had an ear infection that day so he stayed home and read the Wind in the Willows to him.

Don't they have some droids to look for?

So of the Empire had only been willing to employ flex schedules, the Death Star never would have been destroyed.

Either that or stick a cock in that exhaust port.

Maybe dad could teach Jr how to shoot. Clearly its a cultural failing.

Pff. Stormtroopers could shoot fine. Even Kenobi said "These blast points: only Imperial Troopers are so precise." Also, during the first scene when the troopers invade Leia's ship, they easily wipe out her guards.
The whole Rebellion was a false flag operation. As we learned in Ep. 1-3, Palpatine really loves being behind both sides of a war, so that he can take over the resulting power vacuum. Once he had the Empire, it was only natural that he would also start up the Rebellion so that either way, he could end up on top. In order to keep the Rebellion from collapsing, he gave orders that no one was to shoot the people in charge, but they could shoot the underlings (who happened to wear uniforms to make it easy).
His only miscalculation was that he didn't switch sides quickly enough at the end.

I think the Freudian slip says a lot.

Except this amount of depth and intrigue could never come out of the mind of George Lucas.

Given that he wrote the prequels, that doesn't really make any sense.

Great. Now Lucas will have to insert some digital scenes of storm troopers with their kids and re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-release the series again.

Is it me or aren't most of the stormtroopers clones?

OKcomputer79: Is it me or aren't most of the stormtroopers clones?

I think they're conscripted regular people. Cause all the clones have the same Jango Fett voice and the storm troopers from the original trilogy have different voices.

given the time-frame between the two trilogies, i'd expect them to have hired on some temps to fill in the manpower gaps.

also, weren't the cloning facilities destroyed towards the end of the war?

I am willing to bet the divorce rate among storm troopers is high, along with the percentage of single mothers.

I read a book called 8 lives down about british Bomb tech in Basra Iraq in 2004. The author joked that the real meaning of EOD is Everyone's Divorce.

This is the one comment section where we are all not at each others throats. Is a nice break, and actually more interesting than many of the comment sections I've participated within fark. Though I do enjoy the ones pertaining to Asians or references of oriental rugs, they are always good for a laugh.

Maybe George Lucas will explain to us why he felt that children of StormTroopers deserve to grow up without fathers as opposed to the rebels.

Also note Tie fighter pilots. Maybe they were told not to reproduce altogether.

This guy should put up a picture of father and son watching Star Trek together.
