Actually I think environmental police would be better than all these alphabet bureaucracies. See a polluter, call the cops arrest them, rather than file some form to get an appointment to beg some bureaucrat to notice the lake of festering radioactive teratogens dumped in your yard, and then having them declare it a protected wetland.

Nothing like hearing a bunch of barred owls calling in the woods at dawn in the spring. I've heard at least 20 at one time. Common in Georgia.

If they can't mend its wing, the owl might end up with one of the Audubon societies. The one in CT has several injured raptors, living in captivity, but nonetheless living.
