You can draft without touching, dude. People do it all the time.

Woooooooooooooooooooo

GO 31!

Please?

This is going to be interesting with the bigger restrictor plates to make em go faster and new radiator popoff valves to make them overheat faster.

I have no predictions about whether it will be better or morse but it will be interesting.

I caught a bit of practice a couple days ago, and it looks like they replaced the grease with slippery plastic film on the bumper. It didn't seem to have inhibited the bug sex drafting at all.

Foaming: bug sex drafting

I admit we need a catchier phrase than "partnering" for this new style of racing, but I don't know if this will catch on.

AWRIGHT thread's early -- except that PIT-ARI is on at 4 -- so I'll try not to cross the football with the race thread again

Centipede drafting?

Drafting partners for today:

Fords will draft only with Fords.
Kurt Busch will draft with anyone he can push.
Kevin Conway will draft with the wall.

Exactly. Just like Chad Knaus said last night, teams are going to find a loophole similar to the grease. The original memo that went out explicitly said "no grease on the back bumper". So teams just put it on the front bumper. A day later a new memo came out and said "no grease on either bumper". I'm sure teams will find something other than "grease" that acts like grease.

Might as well call it the Crisco Race.

Not sure if these rules applied to last afternoon's truck race... but that was rather interesting. Tandem racing *and* big-pack racing. Some of the truck racers just couldn't figure out how to tandem race without problems.

Christ that was a powerful statement about the loved ones not being able to put it aside.

That wasn't exactly 'NASCAR', but she needs to be commended for letting her honesty show.

Jesus, what a lousy week for motorsport. That's the third racer to die this week.

RIP Marco Simocelli. I sincerely hope today's race is uneventful.

I'll be back when the race starts.

Yes, that was Johnny boy and there is nothing "vague" about his insanity. He's crazy in the good way, however.
