Umm, I guess this wasn't near a major city? If Turkey has an earthquake and tons of people don't die, was it really an earthquake?

FTA:

"A seven-story building collapsed on Kazim Karabekir Street in the city of Van, and more buildings were reduced to rubble the village of Tabanli in Van Province, the Anatolian news agency said. It was unknown how many people were trapped."

Going to be a long night in Turkey. I hope the rescue crews have good luck.

We should attack the Kurds in support of Turkey.

2011-10-23 09:58:19 AM
News are talking about a four-figure death toll already so there is little to joke about.

One thing that will be interesting to watch will be the reactions from abroad. I remember that after the last big quake in Turkey there was a really big and quick turn out from all over Europe and beyond with Greece among the first on the scene with none of the long held mutual antipathy of Greeks and Turks making an appearance.
