I was a volunteer firefighter in a community near the Jamestown and Newport bridges.

You don't fail when you go that route. Trust me. Been on a half dozen calls grabbing floaters.

So, in conclusion, if you're gonna do it, go big or stop listening to the Cure and get back to work.

I put RI in my rearview mirror 33 years ago and (almost) never regretted it. I still visit my siblings about once a year, fortunately the live in the country, Scituate, where the congestion isn't so bad. When visiting and going to my old neighborhood (Warwick), I get depressed too. The traffic and the way people drive, peoples attitude, political corruption, roads, lack of jobs that pay well, and congestion would drive anyone to suicide. Or at least try. Still love going to Greg's on Post Road.

Or try to find find the cause. Inferiority complex in RI? Is everything small there?

As a native RI'er who is still here I find this amusing. So they TRY committing suicide but fail at it? Our education system is to blame. If they were properly educated they'd be able to successfully off themselves.

Georgia was at the bottom of the range for suicide thoughts (1 in 50), planning a suicide (1 in 1,000) and, along with Delaware, for suicide attempts (1 in 1,000).

I can't believe this.. just driving through Delaware makes me depressed. It's not even the best at being small.
