How 'bout "Occupy Tiananmen?" That has a nice ring to it?

2011-10-22 04:19:34 PM
I have a feeling that unless they can keep their hollow and fracturing economy from returning their "middle class" back to subsistence farming, the word "occupy" is going to be the least of China's concerns.

Capitalism requires a free, complete flow of information, so... *gigantic bong hit* Communism requires impediments to information.

Hmm... It seems Fox News has more in common with China than they would care to admit.

It was kind of funny. Last week the CCP was pushing: "see how deeply flawed the American economic system is? They're protesting and having all kinds of civil unrest. Good thing China is great and doesn't have these problems!".

Then the people went "Wait, hey a lot of things they're protesting apply to us too!"

CCP: "What movement?"

it's times like these that I realize living in a country with nut balls who stock up on guns because descent is the highest form of patriotic is far better than living in a country with a bunch of pussies who won't even go so far as to tweet loudly to try to stop the government from filtering their internet access.

I was in China when the Tibetans were demonstrating. Had CNN World on in my hotel room one morning, and before the lead in to the story was out of the anchor's mouth, the screen went black and stayed that way, coming back as the next segment began.

Stupidly, I left my iPod in my room every day. It never worked right again and caused all sorts of bizarre problems with any computer system I connected it to. Finally dawned on me what probably happened when a co-worker told the tale of what happened when he left his laptop in his room.

These are some sneaky, fetus soup eating, forcibly aborting evil motherfarkers.

I'm sorry, I just think it's funny that both the communists and the capitalists are nervous about this. I guess that puts the idea that the protesters are all communists to rest. Apparently not the ones in China.

A lot of good those guns do them, and us. They yammer on and on about needing their guns lest government become oppressive. The only time they shut up about it is when they balthering about how oppressive government is. Yet they do nothing. They're pussies, they actually worship authority in the form of law enforcement and the military.

The real reason they love those guns is the hope that someday they get to shoot an unarmed black kid for breaking into their house.

I know 'rule 34' but I don't know what 'internal calendar rules' are. I write in C++ or C#. I don't think I could work for SAP without... no, I definitely couldn't work for SAP and we'll just leave it at that.

we have a scheduling package (third party) that handles calendars and job submisisons for us. so I can set up jobs to run (or not run) as the plant manager desires. that's where I tend to bury a lot of my subversive stuff - nobody EVER looks a the job scheduling scripts.

SAP isn't too bad, but its very...um...well 'german'. so long as you use it in exactly the way its supposed to be used, then it'll work like a charm.

The Chinese government has always been scared shiatless that any sort of protest due to the potential to spiral out of control and lead to full on revolution and anarchy. This is why they are censoring.

This is where farkers get off their high horses. Because if revolution happens in China, the economy will go to shiat in China, and the US (and world, obviously) economy will go to shiat. You think it is in your interest to cheer agianst the CCP? Get real and welcome to the real world.

Why would the Chinese economy going in the crapper affect the U.S. negatively?

Because we wouldn't be able to buy cheap Chinese shiat from Wal-Mart anymore?
It would hurt for a little bit, but then the factories would move to India/Vietnam/other 3rd world country.

Without those nut balls we might well BE in a country with filtered internet access like China, though it's not fair to say they're just a bunch of pussies or that changing the censorship policy would be so easy as tweeting aggressively.
