(YouTube) Amusing From MST3K season ten, Mike, Servo, and Crow take on Hamlet. One of the funniest episodes, it features more fart jokes and juvenile humor than any other episode, just as Shakespeare intended. "Hey, Hamlet, why don't you Ram-let?"   (youtube.com) divider line 21

"Gee, dad, it's a swell day!"

I love this episode so much.

I gotta say, Halmet is one of the few MSTs I really don't like watching. Don't get me wrong - the jokes are there, and Mike and the bots do fine (my understanding is that Mike himself is a big fan of Hamlet), but the movie is just so dreary and dark and monotone.

So I never watch it. The enjoyment for me is when the crew takes a movie that's in itself fun to watch (one that aspires to uber-badness but never realizes it). So my favorite episodes include Puma Man, Mitchell, Time Chasers, Catalina Caper, Teenagers from Outer Space, Danger: Death Ray, et cetera.

I know that's just like my opinion man, but there you go.

/of course, I also like Red Zone Cuba, so that just blows everything I just said out of the water.
//slashies are the fark equivalent of the MST stinger.

Lamertes: "Cut his throat in a church."

Mike: "Now that's a bit over the top."

I tend to feel that the movies which are naturally boring tend to remain boring, even with the riffing. I still haven't seen The Beginning of the End all the way through- it puts me to sleep every time.

I can watch Hamlet. Even Castle of Fu Manchu.

It's Pod People that makes me want to tear my hair out. Can't watch that episode at all.

Its perfectly ok to love Red Zone Cuba and hate Hamlet. I've been a member of that club for years. You shove off Hamlet!

Hey now that was actually fun. GOtta love the Peter Graves goes to U of M host segment too. Grasshoppers on postcards, now!

Really? I thought Pod People was one of the best Joel episodes, especially when the focus is on that stupid boy and "Trumpy". Now, Season 1...dear lord, I really need to be motivated to see any Season 1 episodes, especially Mad Monster, probably one of MST3K's weakest efforts. Also, a special mention goes to Hellcats, in which most of the writing crew was away for the week during the writing phase.

/Trumpy, you can do stupid things.

Run DMC Everett Koop - I had to pause the tape until I finished laughing.

I was just watching a KTMA show last night,
City on Fire, I believe. I found the riffs to be less interesting than the film, sadly. But I guess that's not surprising

The Hamlet line that makes me lose it, is Servo cheerfully shouting, "Sunny-D for EVERYBODY!!!!"

I saw it on a local station in New York, UN-MSTed, before I saw the KTMA version. It prepared me for it very well, and I found it to be fun, even if they went overboard on the Shelley Winters jokes (she plays as the building at the beginning)

CITY ON FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The KTMA's aren't their best work. I have one KTMA episode for the sake of having one.

I've got all the ones that were up on the Archive site, but yeah - they are rough work, the only MST eps that I can't watch all the way though.

Joel Hodgson was here in Sioux Falls Saturday night for "An Evening with Joel Hodgson." They screened Manos, The Hands of Fate, followed by a Q and A. I missed it.

/Not a cool story, bro. :(

Ditto. As much as I love MST3K I refuse to watch any episode where the crew riffs on a completely uninteresting movie. Barely got through Manos.
