At least he lived a long full life.

41. Geez.

2011-10-22 03:10:33 AM
That's a shame. He seemed like a good guy with a promising future.

There were no details surrounding the death immediately available, but friends and colleagues said it was not suspicious.

Ugh.

He sounds like he knew what he was doing. It reminds me of Robert Heinlein's idea that a government could be dangerously destabilized by the removal of the people who actually knew what they were doing. Of course, one could speculate all kinds of things before the coroner's report becomes public.

"It's very confused at this point," Murray said.

This is usually pol-speak for autoerotic asphyxia.

Well, this is a switch.

Normally we find dead hookers in Senator hotel rooms.

Since I'm not from Washington state, why do I (and Farkers in general) care that this guy died?
I could understand if this were federal with the balance of party power being effected, yadda...

Hey, I'm from Seattle and I don't care about this story.

I heard he was trying to instigate a government bank and had accessed the Fed's emails, saying how pleased they were with progress so far.

I am thinking Heart Attack. The first one sometimes comes without warning or symptoms and about half die. My first was at 45, I had just gotten back from a week long deer hunt in the mountians, was feeling great, and then I wasn't. Outragious fortune just happened to have placed me a block from a hospital when the pain hit, their best heart guy was on staff in the ER, and the life flight helo just happenned to be on the pad. One out of those three missing and I wouldn't be here. Guy probably got chest pains, thought " Wow this hurts, maybe if I wait a second it will go away" then a minute or two later went unconcious. It can happen that quick.

There are resorts in Kittitas County? People vacation there?

I've always thought of it as a drive-through county.

So did get knifed by a gay hobo or not?

2011-10-22 08:04:36 AM
The fact that he was attending a Chamber of Commerce leadership meeting...well I don't suppose even the most jaded among us can imagine the kind of unholy shenanigans going on there.

Don't get in the way of the GOP. They will stop at nothing to ensure their takover.

Time for some coffee

Like it would be more acceptable if he was found with a regular sized tranny?

Initially screwed up the headline and thought it said "Died FROM Seattle."

The US chamber of Commerce is a different organization than local chambers of commerce, and often with vastly different policy goals.

It was probably a secondary or tertiary care hospital. The hospital structure in rural North America is that of smaller tertiary care units that focus on stabilizing the px for transport to a hospital with the required staff and equipment. A podunk county hospital likely won't have a cardiac surgeon ready to rock and roll, so the life flight was probably needed to transport this fellow, once stable, to the nearest hospital with that capability.

No, but a midget tranny hooker is inherantly funnier. I'm thinking Peter Dinklage dressed up like Tim Curry in Rocky Horror.

Betty White is in trouble.

GAT_00: Why would you be lift flighted one block?

I had to be life flighted from that hospital to the closest Cath lab where I got two stents put in while still under cardiac arrest(or whatever they call the condition I was in). And let me tell you, waking up on that table to "Mr. Lantz, I know this is really uncomfortable, but I really need you to hold still." is undoubtably the weirdest thing I have ever experienced.

Did he piss off the party leaders in Washington?

Roslyn, Easton, all them places are still in the woods, so there are resorts there. Once you get past Ellensburg, it becomes wasteland.

I was perhaps being a little tongue-in-cheek, referring to the presumably staid reputation of such organizations. My experience in attending ALA and other dry academic conventions is that the non-scheduled events make being backstage after a Motley Crue concert circa 1986 seem quite tame. Not that I have firsthand knowledge of either, you understand.

Put me down with the "Why is this greenlit on Fark?" parade.

I mean, he was young, but, I'm sure there are all sorts of young low level politicians that die probably just about monthly. Other than that this was a brother-in-law of some admin on Fark or something, not sure why this got special treatment.

The weirdest thing I ever heard was when the nurse leaned over the gurney I was lying on and said, "Would you like more morphine, sir?" To this day I don't know what the correct answer is.
