With every other obscure 60s show making it to DVD (The Mothers-in-Law? I'm Dickens, He's Fenster?!? My Living Doll?!?!), I don't see why some company hasn't picked up My Mother The Car yet. With as often as people say "it's the worst show ever", there have to be people willing to pay 20 bucks to buy the complete series and see just how bad it was.

I'd pay $20, if they included all those shows. And yeah, I'm old enough to remember all of them.

Well, the only one out so far is M-i-L. And, yeah, it's 20 bucks for the complete series. Not bad for 40-50 episodes.

The rest are rumored or in the works. My Living Doll alone will be worth it because it's a young Julie Newmar as an android, in a show that was Small Wonder 20 years early.

My favorite ridiculous premise for a show:
Heil Honey, I'm Home! (new window)

Yes, it was a real thing that didn't last beyond the first episode. I would love to have been at the pitch meeting where this was somehow approved in the first place.

How about the FOX show "The Chamber"

Basically taking a contestant and throwing them into a hot or cold torture chamber and asking them questions. It would either get extremely hot 170F or extrememly cold -20F. 55 MPH wind gust. Muscle contractors. Making the chair spin around. Spraying water on their face. Shaking the chair violently.

I thought the orangutan dominated that sumo wrestler!

I liked the chimp vs Navy Seals one... except the chimp had no concept of competition.

Or you are too young to have seen it when it aired. My generation was all excited until Chewie's nephew started talking and the elder wookie started jerking it to a clown hologram. You're missing out on some serious horrors.

Came for first two references and Supertrain, will counter with "Mr. T and Tina".

I remember watching Supertrain as a kid. Every week you could see how the very poorly assembled sets were deteriorating, the press-on vinyl-covered flats were all bubbling-up and coming unstuck.

Supertrain had a continuing cameo of sorts in an early short-lived show starring then-unknown Jim Carrey, called "The Duck Facory".

Duck factory was about a young animator with a powerful imagination, working in a small independent cartoon company. A running gag was that the chief script writer for the company's sorts was a self-aggrandizing a-hole who wore a shiny satin ballplayer jacket with a giant Supertrain crew logo on the back. His character's big claim to fame was that he'd been a staff writer on that show, before coming to the animation studio. I always found it very amusing that someone would be so desperate for credit and validation that he'd be that proud of working on that bad of a show.

And if anybody has a show in development, give me a call, I work for just under Guild scale.

Add to the list Mr. Ed. Seriously, no one thinks it's weird that this dude was always sneaking off to a stable to talk to a horse?

I wasn't old enough to watch My Mother the Car, but I saw it on one of those VH1 countdown shows and it sounds completely bizarre. In the same vein add Knight Rider.

Basically any show that has inanimate objects or animals talking is weird.

It is funny what a wide disparity there is in people's opinions of HH's. Many love it, it was rerun on WGN for years in the 80s... yet it was named the 5th worst show of all time by TV Guide a few years ago.
