The last paragraph sums up the Bachmann campaign perfectly.
I'll leave it for you to read. I just want to say, I love Michelle Bachmann!

It;s a wonder how she got elected to the House in the first place. You seriously have to ask yourself what the hell is wrong with the people in her district that voted for her.

Bachmann said that the resignations never happened "to our knowledge" and blasted the media for jumping to report the news before checking with her campaign.

well you stupid coont, we dotn talk to you to get facts for our story, we talk to the people who used to work for you and who quit. we call those facts investigative journalism. if we ask you instead, we get campaign doublespeak and "they left to pursue other opportunities and spend more time with their families" crap

journalism, how does it work?

2011-10-21 07:45:30 PM
FOX News has confirmed that at least one Bachmann staffer in New Hampshire, Caroline Gilger, has quit the Bachmann campaign and is joining the Perry campaign.

Out of the herping pan and into the derp.

I don't know what Bachmann going to do now. She wants more power and can't get anymore with the failed attempts at being speaker or running for President. Her only two options is to resign and join Fox News or suicide.

How anyone agreed to work for her is beyond me. In what world would you have actually followed (or led depending on how you look at it) her to victory? How bad do you need a paycheck that SHE was the horse you picked? Especially in NH where she has no hope of winning in the first place.

3rd party run with Palin? The NRO would go ape but I can't imagine either one of them agreeing to be VP behind the other. Maybe a 3rd party run with Cain or Perry if he doesn't get the nomination.

Question for Texans: Do you have term limits for Governor? Can Perry keep getting elected indefinitely?

2011-10-21 08:06:26 PM
Bachmann spokesperson Alice Stewart says the campaign did not had actual full time staff in NH, rather the campaign has had weekly contracts with 6-10 individuals only during Bachmann's visits to the Granite State.

Translation: Since we never had any actual "staff" in NH, they couldn't really "resign" from our campaign. Therefore, we have no knowledge of anyone actually resigning from our campaign who worked for us in any official capacity, because there weren't any. Right?

She probably paid staffers in promises to donate their earnings to charity (some church she made up) or something.

Some people prefer LSD, some prefer peyote, some prefer taking the bible literally and marrying hefty and sassy psychotherapists who help gay people not be gay, kind of like how all the counselors at treatment centers are all former addicts.

Or maybe they are just stoned and getting a kick out of the whole farking thing, which would be cool:

"Hey dude, we're so wasted, what should we do?"

"I don't know man, maybe we could try to get Michelle Bachmann elected president."

"Whoah, I'm stoned, but you must be really stoned"

"So?"

"Let's go get those bumper stickers printed, you cheeto-eating-fatass sitting-on-the-couch motherfarker."

"This is going to be evil"

"But fun?"

"Hell yeah, big fun, and then we'll quit when she is in some flyover bumfark nowhere state and smoke a fat one and laugh about it"

"I, for one, am in"

Perry is on his third term, so my guess is we don't have term limits.

I love how anyone can be an "analyst" these days. You know what? I'm just some asshole off the street. I drink too much and have a largely meaningless BA from a state university. I'm about as average as they come, in income and in intellect.

But you know what? Even I'm a better analyst than 75% of what passes at FOX. I'm not talking about ideology; I mean the actual analyzing part. It's not like football where I complain about the performance but know full well that I'd be murdered on a real field playing the same players I was just b*tching about. I actually know I'd be a better 'analyst' than this stable of poop-flinging twatgoblins....and so would half of the politics tab.

There was a time when people looked to the news for information because they were professionals and could be trusted to deliver reasonably vetted facts, even in the commentary at the end of the show. I was a child then, and can't put my finger on the exact moment this country's televised news just went "poof" and turned into a steaming turd. Not sure if FOX started it and CNN dumbed itself down in order to compete, or if CNN just lowered the standards so gradually through the 90s that no one was alarmed when FOX came along.

I'd let all of this go if they just stopped giving the title of "analyst" and called it for what it is: "I smear my own feces on walls."

Your guess is correct - the governorship of Texas has no term limits. However, Rick Perry has served two complete 4 year terms - more than any other governor of Texas in 19th or 20th century, and is only one of four two have been elected for 3(from 1876-1972, the term was 2 years).

"We have a great team in New Hampshire we have not been notified that anyone is leaving the campaign. We look forward to spending more time in the Granite State between now and the primary. At this time, our main focus is Iowa and we are building on our efforts there. Michele will spend the majority of her time in Iowa, doing what she does better than all the other candidates - retail politics - leading up to the all important caucuses."

"Staffers from the Romney, Perry, and Cain campaigns are surrendering en masse. They are committing suicide in despair."

They've bailed on her campaign and jumped aboard Perry's. They're clearly some terrific decision-makers.

Oh well, I had hoped she would stick around till the primary here so I could vote for her. I has a sad.

Thank you for Googling it for me, but my real question is; if he fails his presidential bid, will he stay as Texas' governor? Along with term limits, Is he likely to keep getting elected?

The last gubernatorial election, Perry ran against Bill White, who had been a very popular, if rather boring, mayor of Houston. I actually thought it would be close, and Perry got like 60% of the vote. As said above, it is rough going for Dem's in statewide elections these days.
