I still maintain that a Republican is really just a Democrat that doesn't understand how a progressive tax bracketing system. When you explain to them just because you get pushed into a higher tax bracket when you get more income, you don't pay the higher percentage rate on your entire income -- just the amount over the tax bracket, a light bulb goes off in their head. Also, when you listen to many Republican "business owners" they seem shocked to learn that you only pay taxes on net income, not gross income. Of course I really have to question the fidelity of their statements of they claim to be a business and didn't know that in the first place.
