That's silly. The Eastern Missouri Professional Baseball Club would never keep people from dressing as locally indigenous mammals during the Big Group of Games.

The bar I go to had Rally Squirrel Rally towels made up with a cartoon squirrel perched on the bat that has the bar's name in Cards logo script under it. My fave design (that I now have on a shirt, and is almost certainly copyright infringing) is this one:

As someone said, the Cardinals have been in 18 World Series and have won 10 of them. They don't need this AAA hackery.

This is not a copyright issue. This is a trademark issue. You don't have to copyright things. If something is copyrightable, it is automatically copywritten.

*copyrighted. I should learn correct forms of different words before I try to say things.

What is even more baffling to me is that when the squirrel appeared, the Phillies won that game. Then when it appeared again Oswalt struck the batter out. Not much of a rally squirrel .

You should copywrite your automatic words

No wonder they got rid of it.

You have to be quick on these things. Look at Steve Bartman: He was wearing a Renegades sweatshirt (the youth baseball team he coached) that night at Wrigley. Nine days later the team applied for a trademark (new window) on the design of that shirt.

/Dennis Green trademarked "They Are Who We Thought They Were"
//Disney applied for a trademark for "Seal Team Six"

Ummm... I don't think it happened when you think it did.

Game 4 NLDS, he interrupted play during the 5th inning. In the 6th, Freese knocked in a homer to seal the win.

But it first appeared in game 3, and they lost.
