interesting list...

nice use of colors (red, gold and purple); however, not being allowed to swim in them? What's with that?

LOL Looked at the list of photos and thought to myself - for NO particular reason - 'I'd be proud to drop a surprise deuce in any of those....'

/or at the very least, toss in a Payday and wait for the first person to see it.. may be a lil funny in the movies, but when seen in real life, it is hilarious; acting does not come close to a real reaction.

You don't have to leave the country for a cool pool. try the pool at the Ramada Inn at Fort Walton Beach, FL.
The pool is a large lagoon with a volcano in the middle. You can swim into the volcano and have a drink at the "wet bar" inside, complete with barstools. If you're not swimming, you can walk on a small bridge into the volcano. Bonus,....ground level rooms that are poolside may enter the pool from their balcony where the water is 3 feet deep.

Yes, and after that ill head over to the La Quinta in Anniston, Alabama where they have a NASCAR themed swim up waffle bar.

Every thirty minutes one lucky guest will receive a complimentary dose of PCB poisoning antidote!

Want to see a really awesome/trippy pool?

Go see Salvador Dali's pool at his house in Port Llegat, Spain, up near the border with France in the Northeast. It's Michelin tire-dude themed.

Too bad you can't swim in it either, but the whole house is amazing. And, that entire area is great for a holiday, if you can afford it.

Isn't there some pool on the ocean in South America that spans like 3 or 4 high rise hotel buildings, and people can kayak & ski in it? That one seems pretty cool to me.

They missed the world's largest. Not sure how that is possible given It is more than 1,000 yards long, covers 20 acres, had a 115ft deep end and holds 66 million gallons of water.

My dad brought home a booklet on Hearst Castle when I was a kid. Ever since then, I have wanted the pool there. It is gorgeous.
These were all lovely, but I don't care for the pee gold plated one much.

Also came here to say that. Barton Springs pool is 3 acres and it's a natural, spring-fed pool. The water is 68° year round and people swim in it every day of the year. Maybe not a pretty as the others, but cool in it's own way.

Born in GC. Saw me some Playmate boobies at the pool, when I was young enough that all I knew to do was stare.

Yes. The pool's design had lots of issues and I think being a swimming hole was last on the list of priorities. At some point it had been considered a backup water supply for the city for drinking water as well.

This is at the Adelphi Hotel in Melbourne Oz. Its on the 14th floor. The rust is a bit of a concern. GIS for "adelphi pool melbourne" shows lots of other pics of the town's most photographed pool.

Around here we call that a "patio".
