A fantasy football hired a man?
Why would Rosie O Donnel need a man?

Almost my situation exactly...I have Torain and Hightower until we figure out which one is actually going to play. In the meantime...EARNEST GRAHAM!

\I'm joking, it's Mike Shanahan, we're never going to figure out which one is going to get more PT. Until they both get hurt. Crap.

I steer clear of every Jets player as a general rule.

Everything I've read indicates Torain will get the majority of carries against Carolina this weekend, since Helu is more of a 3DRB/Goal line guy and Hightower is still dealing with a shoulder injury. I'm hoping for a big game against a soft run D (the Eagles game notwithstanding), since my "horrible death bye week" is against the only team in the league WITHOUT a win thus far, and I don't wanna be the one guy to lose.

/starting Eric Decker, Jordy Nelson, and Brandon Marshall at WR, sigh

Add Saints WR's to that list.

Hightower wasn't producing that great anyway, IMHO. He was having major issues finding the lane and hitting it. He'd rather run sideways for 5 yards than make a decision and actually hit a hole. The reason Torrain is so much more effective is because he has better decision making skills. He sees a lane and hits it without thinking twice.

I think Helu is the back of the future though, once he learns the system, if Shanny is here that long. I'm hoping the lack of run production was more due to losing 2 OL early and shifting Montgomery to G as a result. We'll see what happens this week, but as a Redskins fan, I don't exactly have my hopes up. I know better than that.

I was about to say something about there being no dungeons in football, but Palmer did escape from one... but Sexy Rexy has been benched so there are a lot fewer dragons. Hmmm.

very, very true. I learned my lesson last year. Although colston had a decent year last year, Moore and Meachem really played well for a few weeks and colston took a back seat.

In one league I'm in this week I had Felix Jones(inj), Cedric Benson(bye), Fred Jackson(bye), Blount(inj), Andre Johnson(inj), Julio Jones(inj), Vernon Davis(bye), David Nelson(bye).

I ended up dropping Jones and Nelson along with my back up QB just to be able to field a team this week(picked up Murray, Graham, and Doucet)

Whoa. Your worlds of suck are far greater than mine. I've offered everyone in my league Roddy W and have yet to find a taker. Even the guy I classify as the idiot has turned me down. I'd accept a bag of magic beans at this point.

Colston and Lance Moore are both quality starts in just about any league. I always stay away from Browns WRs, as a rule.

Is it too much to hope that this guy can get something proposed so we can write off D&DF losses off as gambling losses? Then these leagues would get interesting.

2011-10-21 01:55:29 PM
Hey, I've got Green-Ellis starting, and I'm 5-1. I should note that my league is 16 teams, and my opponents have sucked against me.

I picked up Tebow on the off chance that he's a better start than Eli Manning during Brees' week 11 bye. This week I have Ahmad Bradshaw and Steve Johnson on byes, Andre Johnson of course still injured, and now it looks like Janikowski might sit one out. I'm first in my league (barely) but this week and last have been brutal. I've had to add/drop like crazy to get a passable team starting. I only play in one league every season. Feels more important that way I guess. /shrug

Everybody cares

2011-10-21 03:13:56 PM
Once the bye weeks wind down, my core roster is

Stafford
Rice
McFadden
Mathews
Wallace
Welker

I am the 1%.

2011-10-21 03:20:20 PM
I'm doing average: Andre Johnson(injured), Deion Branch(Bye), Aaron Hernandez(Bye), Bengals D/ST(Bye), Victor Cruz(Wasn't unable to unload him, bye) and Cedric Benson(He hardly counts since I picked him up from waivers this week, bye)

So my starting WRs are...Steve Breaston, Doug Baldwin and Santonio Holmes. Aside from Holmes, I actually feel good about those.

Micheal Bush, Pierre Garcon, Mike Williams, Devin Hester (ret TDs count, not yards). I have 1 flex and 1 WR slot open.

Garcon and Bush. Raiders will run a ton this sunday, and Run DMC will need to rest at times.

I agree completely. This is also the first week we've seen consistent production out of Hester as a receiver which means it probably won't happen again, and at most you might get a runback.

Williams... just ugh. I have him on my bench just waiting to play like last year. But even last week he had around 13 targets and what, 3 receptions? Keep him sitting until he does something, ANYTHING!

Good calls. Even if it was a choice between Greene and a defunct toaster, I'd go with the toaster.

The Bucs are the best in the NFL on special teams against returns so you just have to figure him as a regular WR.

MJD has an extremely tough matchup with the Ravens. They are pretty damn solid against the run, and with the Jags passing game being what it it is, are going to stack the box. MJD has enough talent to not end up being a complete failure, but he won't have a very good day either. Tolbert has not only the goal line chances, but should be a big part of their passing game. Tolbert excels at being a pass catcher, and the Jets are pretty good at shutting down receivers. Chargers will be throwing a lot of underneath stuff, and Tolbert should play a big part in that. Will be interesting to see if Gates plays or not.

It looks like red-zone touches are becoming a 50/50 load between Mathews and Tolbert, but most of the stuff going to Tolbert is through the air. The Jets' run defense is terrible so I imagine anything in the red zone would be run in by Mathews.

I figure he has more of a chance for TD's than MJD or Greene this week.

MJD will have 2 TD's this monday night. both will be receiving. 30 receiving yds and 40 rush.
