I wonder what kind of mileage you could get out of a uterus. Will the third generation be able to have it or will there be too much genetic deviation?

She has been married for 12 YEARS yet still feels their life isn't complete without children? That poor guy. My husband and I are happy enough with each other we are trying to figure out if we even want kids or not. Right now leaning towards no.

Adoption failed? I want to know if that means "baby's mother changed her mind and we were devastated, so adoption doesn't work" or "we couldn't meet the requirements for adoption". Also, an implanted uterus has never successfully been able to yield a child, what makes her think she is so special? She is spending a ton of money to only end up heartbroken in the end.

She needs to realize she has a wonderful and loving husband, enough that they don't need children of their own. If she wants to be involved with children to fill that void she obviously has, then volunteer for any number of children's organization or become a foster parent.

This culture of needing children to feel fulfilled baffles me. I am lacking nothing in my childless life and never once have thought "If only I had a child I would feel happier."

The article mentions that adoption attempts have failed. How exactly have they failed at adoption? If they are that unfit, seems like they shouldn't go to the extraordinary measure of implanting a uterus.

What scares me the is that people who want children the most go out and do things like this, which only serve to prove how completely unfit they would be in the charge of another human being.
