Oddly means what to you, Subby? My guess is that you originally typed "ironically."

Oddly, your idea of the meaning of "ironically" is wrong. Or were you being ironic? Or just a dick?

Maybe he meant erotically. Or iconically. Anyway, it's like when you have 10 thousand spoons when all you need is the correct anti-venom.

Thanks! Nice reminder of some great music. Since seeing this I've been watching old videos of the Zombies, the Animals, Yardbirds, Mammas & Pappas, etc.

One of the great smaller (popularity-wise) bands of the British Invasion. I still like their very jazzy version of "Summertime" better than most others. And then there's Argent's awesome solo hit, "Hold Your Head Up?"

=D

I love the Zombies. They're so groovy. And I think all things considered, they look good. I mean, they don't come across like middle-aged poser douchebags. Thumbs up.

Throw The Hollies into that mix, I never thought they got the attention they deserve

Ah, the days when all I needed was the air that I breathed and to waste a beautiful song on a stupid c*nt. I'm so glad I can once again enjoy listening to the Hollies. For they are, indeed, a-way-some.

Thanks for the recommendation, I've never heard them before. I'm trying to expand my musical palette.

Colin Blunstone is one of rock's most underrated vocalists. And shame on rock radio for only playing three Zombies songs.

I saw the ... 40th? reunion tour and Blunstone can't sing anymore. His voice is shot from being old or something. It doesn't have that old angelic quality, it just sounds kinda creepy.

I saw them live in 2009 and they were pretty great. It was a show with The Spencer Davis Group (see: Spencer Davis and some new guys), The Yardbirds (see: the original drummer and one guitarist and two new guys), and The Zombies (see: THE ACTUAL ZOMBIES). They were easily the best band in the show and sounded spot on. I'm glad they're still out there touring and, seemingly, having a good time doing it.

They can be old if they want to, I just think they should let go of the "long haired rocker" thing, it's not working for them.

No Steve Winwood, no Eric Clapton, No Jimmy Page, no Jeff Beck. On the upside, the tickets were pretty cheap.

Sorry, no. In my defense I wasn't musically aware untill about 1995. I've had a lot of catching up to do.

I saw them last month in Annapolis and they were awesome. Sold out show and Colin's voice hasn't changed a bit. The bass player is the Kinks bass player too!

They still sound great. Dude's got one of the best voices in the history of pop music.
