I'm probably starting a full out flame war here, but I truly think that male comedians tend to be funnier than female ones. I think it's usually because of the choice of source material...women's comedy usually skews more toward a female point of view. Then again, being a male maybe I'm assuming that all male comedians are skewed more toward males.

However when it comes to actors and actresses, both can be absolutely hilarious.

People who knows me often say I'm the funniest person they know but they say it's a very dry quirky humour. I specialise in saying things to make people choke on their food or spit out their drink, do strange things like interlock stacking together every chair in the lab into one giant sculpture and not admit I did it, and manage to convince people that preposterous things I say are actually facts. I've written bizarre things into exam essays every time in hopes the grader will go "WTF?" What I do isn't meant to get laughs from other people, it's meant to amuse me, which is more important in the overall scheme of things.

If I had to do stand up, I'd get up there and deliver a series of the very worst pun jokes in hopes of infuriating the audience.
