Your dividends are being held by paypal for 90 days because we don't make enough money off the casual invester so we will be earning some interest off your dividends to make up that loss err I mean because um buyer protection yeah that's it Buyer Protection!

Paypal is AWESOME for consolidating credit card (outgoing) payments. Makes it REALLY, REALLY easy to switch card numbers, without running around to netflix, newegg, amazon, all that bullcrap and changing a saved card.

Paypal is RIDICULOUSLY, USELESSLY HORRIBLE for storing or receiving money. I added $20 to my paypal balance on Wednesday. From my bank. By Wednesday, I mean 10/12. I got the email saying it was done about half an hour ago.

ABSOLUTELY true! After finding out the hard way about paypal holding money I receive, paypal is now an outgoing money only place for me. Anything I sell goes to craigslist.

If you have a smart phone of any sort I highly recommend squareup.com for those semi-random one-off transactions. The rate you pay to accept CC is kinda high (2.75% for low volume) the account and equipment is free and you can take transactions anywhere you have phone service.

disclaimer: I have no affiliation with them whatsoever.

Hard to find deals on eBay anymore.
The ads in the areas of interest for me are volume sellers selling at almost retail.
If I want to pay near retail, I'll go through Amazon and get a solid return policy. kthxbye.

Tell me about it. I looked up a vintage tiger vase and zippety doo-dah.

If I want to buy new, I'll buy off Amazon, TigerDirect or Newegg and get better return policy, faster shipping and better quality.

Although TigerDirect is sometimes cheaper on their eBay site than on their main site

Thanks for that, I saw these things at the Apple Store once and paid no attention. I see now the one that the hardware is 80$ has much lower transaction rates... I like the free hardware better

After reading the article I need to ask,

Whats the difference between a forecast and an estimate?

From eBay's FAQs:

Does eBay pay a cash dividend?

No, eBay has never declared a cash dividend and presently intends to continue this policy.

Which is just as well, knowing it would probably require a PayPal account and they'd charge you a transaction fee.

A friend of mine sells via house parties and he has a swiper that plugs into his phone. Loves it. Handling credit cards is cheap and easy now for him.

Nothing but an ebay puff piece. Tells you nothing.

So what is common stock with no dividend? Isn't common stock last in line (never made whole) in bankruptcy? Earnings may go up or go down, but if they're not shared with me, why should I care? Common stock with no dividend is just a piece of paper.

I stopped using ebay when they made it so that sellers could only leave positive feedback. If someone bids on my items and they don't pay, I don't see why I shouldn't be able to -1 the guy and warn other sellers. The way they do it now totally defeats the purpose of having feedback in the first place.
