This reminds me of a story of a person who had an early ipod in their shirt pocket and would adjust the volume through the fabric and weird-out the people he was looking at.

They thought he was stimulating his nipple.

Since 'sexting' is officially a hated word can we just go ahead and strangle subby?

iPods used to do this fine in a pocket or whatever. Even through denim, you could use the click wheel just fine.

Then they went to that touch crap. Of course, you can buy a remote to go in your headphone line.

/Probably needs an adapter too

HTF do you use a touchscreen without looking? There's not exactly tactile feedback.

IIRC, the boys in the lab at MSR had a patent recently that focused on tactile feedback with touchscreens... it was a system that raised tiny portions of the screen up to represent letters, pictures, symbols, etc.

/nothing is impossible for MSR

Gestures could get basic functionality down. Say flicks for next/last and some sort of spin or slide for volume. Like you said, not so great for a touchscreen when you can't see. Could work decently with glasses or some sort of projector though.

I don't want anybody else
When I think about you I touch myself
Ooh I don't want anybody else Oh no, oh no, oh no

Of course the Apple fanboys have been touching themselves every new product announcement.

Farking proprioception - is it witchcraft?

I recently saw a teenager do this. He was sending messages with his iPhone without looking at the screen. I asked him how he was doing that and he gave me a look like i was dumb and said, "It's not like the letters move."

Apparently they were perfectly legible texts too.

/I'm getting old :(
