Steve Wynn: Just another idiot Republican that thinks business owners only reinvest into their business with their personal salaries and gross income instead of the way it's actually done...

2011-10-20 12:04:11 PM
He told analysts that, unlike many protestors, he doesn't blame Wall Street and the banks for what's wrong. He blames deficit spending. "I am watching my employees' standard of living drop because of deficits."

Wynn says even though he's given his U.S. workers two cost of living increases, "people working for me are being paid in 80-cent dollars, on their way to 70-cent dollars...the net result of all this is frustration, anxiety and anger."

We've had 3-4% annual inflation for decades (with some 10% in the late 70s, early 80s), and now, when it's even less than average, everyone acts like they're just learning about this?

What's more, "That does not show that 25 to 30 percent of their profits are probably tied up in accounts receivable or inventory, stuff that they can't spend or get their hands on." As for what remains, minus cost of living, "They take whatever is left, these so-called 'millionaires', and they open up another shop or another office, and that is the only known engine of growth in the United States of America."

Which is mostly tax deductible Mr. Wynn. I love how these guys pretend taxes is why they can't spend money on things that are tax-dedcutable.

Nice it's the "governments fault" you are not paying your employees well. He blames inflation. So does that mean he isn't raising his prices with inflation? - Eerrrr oppps talking point fail.

Well maybe he can build a time machine, go back to 1980 and tell that to Ronald Reagan.

Wynn called it "worse than hypocrisy" for the Obama administration to attack the rich. "Rich people are now being defined by the administration as people who make a million dollars."

Yeah, that's pretty goddamn rich.

This is a straight up, bald-faced lie right here. Unless they are taking that money and putting it directly into their pockets, they are not paying personal taxes on it. I'm sorry, but this is how Republicans prey on the uninformed, with complete, flat-out lies.

So the right has pretty much lost this debate, eh?

They did a fine job of preventing the debate from even occurring for a long time, as they knew as soon as even a small amount of scrutiny was placed on this circus it would become impossible to defend.

I like "so called". I like it a lot. It's accurate. People who make a million dollars per year in either direct income or capital gains are in fact "so called" millionaires. But by dropping that "so called" you force people to ask if maybe that's not what we should call them.

Then you can spend the rest of your article calling them Job Creators.

And then you can spend the rest of your life regretting that you once felt satisfied with carrying water like this.

aaaaaaaaaand this

the wynn seemed woefully understaffed the first time I went there and that was before the economic meltdown.

I'd imagine your employees standard of living sucks because you work them to the bone and they spend what little they make on daycare and a shiatty rental since they probably lost an investment property they were duped into believing they could afford.

The housing market took a lot of casualties here, and Steve knows it. He also knows he's either cut hours, cut positions, or both.

Teahaddists have a strong hold here in Vegas, mostly because there's a lot of racist farks here. Not saying the entire movement is racist, although a large portion of it is. But here in Vegas it's something that started the second Obama announced his candidacy where lifelong democrats went full retard all of the sudden... hmm wonder why.

It's quite simple, he aligns himself with whoever will benefit him most...

He wasn't going to back Angle, who wanted to ban alcohol in Nevada... yes... in Nevada. She was basically looking to bankrupt the entire gaming industry if she won.

He's saying he won't build because taxes on his salary will rise. If you combine that with the other statement about millionaires using their net salary to fund their business's reinvestment, it's pretty easy to see that he's an idiot.
