Gary Bauer

For some reason I read that as "Gary Busey". It was really confusing for a moment.

/I blame the alcohol
//or in his case, the cocaine
///also, motorcycle

Blame the fact that they're both scary god-bothering morons.

/God told Gary to run..but forgot to mention that he'd get fewer votes than the ferns in the convention ballroom.

Does Chris Dodd seriously not have $1,781 to spare? The rest of them owe respectable fractions of a million bucks, but Dodd seriously less than my monthly expenses.

I would suspect that the committees still existing and money being owed is probably a basic cause and effect thing. If you dissolve the corporation, does all that become personal debt, perhaps?

Yeah, me too. Vaguely recalled him but not really. Wiki shows him to be an original PNACer, one of those arsewipes who formed a PAC with "Family" in the name and noted that he once said he would council rape victims against abortion.

Basically, he sounds like Generic Republican.

Could be that the debt was already paid and someone made an accounting error. I wouldn't want to shell out 2k to fix someone else's accounting error no matter how much I was pulling in at the time.

Or he could just be a dick. If modern media has taught me anything it's that both viewpoints are equally valid and MUST be heard.

A particularly slick and odious religious conservative who ran for President.

I swear I remember him being the only pro-choice Republican in the 2000 primary.

He's still got bar tabs from those waitress-sandwich-making nights with Ted Kennedy at La Brasserie in the 80's.

I believe campaign finance laws prevent him from paying the debt out of his own bank account once the election is over.
