Stovepipe hats seem so ridiculous.

The relationship between physical height and apparent authority has been well known for quite a while, as illustrated by the relative height of the three hats on the three men in the picture.

I like threads with lots of zeros.

So why not just put the tallest man in politics up for running and give him a big hat and platform shoes? Put the idea to the test.

lol, that was exactly what was in my head as I was thinking about it. I wanted to mention spiking up hair, but I figured I couldn't, what with having mentioned hats already.

Simple. Run for the Republican presidential nomination.

Yes, not fair but true.

One time in Vegas, I was just standing there and a pretty woman came up and said, "You're tall"
You don't even have to try sometimes.

And it's just weird, because it's not like I had any choice. (unless I cut off my limbs...)
But is it any weirder or fairer that women are chased for their boobs, butt, hair, eyes, etc???

Men are judged on their money, strength, voice, height, clothes and other factors.

/ability and merit are often VERY underrated.

I don't mind a leader who is short in stature, as long as he's tall in power, as well as narrow of purpose and wide of vision.

The vast majority of people don't see the president in person, and television is not very good at conveying somebody's height.

Yes it is. During campaigns they are often pictured in a sea of people where you can judge their relative height, and during debates they are often standing next to each other. That, and if they're not tall the media will come right out and tell you how short they are.

It works for women, too, up to a point. I'm 5'10" which is tall but not Godzilla size, and people tend to take me more seriously/assume I have authority, and definitely respect my space a lot more than my shorter friends. On the downside, people are also more standoffish with me, assuming I'm a lot less friendly or way more serious than I actually am, despite the fact that I am goofy as hell. It's good from a career perspective - I can definitely project presence - but it does put up barriers to getting to know people.

On the other hand, I have a friend who is 6'3" and she is basically treated like shiat. Guys will often treat her like a fetish object, kids will point and stare, etc. Random people will just come up and ask her if she can dunk and shiat like that. Good for her though - she'll wear heels just to really add it on because fark haters.

Or he's related to this guy.

Looking at the photo you posted, if Teller is 6'0" tall, then Penn Gillette would be at least 6'10 (the guy is literally a head taller than Teller). I don't think Penn is anywhere near that tall.

IMDB claims 6' 6 1/2" and 5' 9".

But, if IMDB is wrong, they can always sue ;)

dletter: But, if IMDB is wrong, they can always sue ;)

It's not like they haven't been before... I've seen horribly inaccurate stuff on 'filming locations' and 'trivia' on movies, and spent more than a year in at least 2 instances trying to get these things fixed, I think some are still false... They don't vet anything, it seems, sometimes duplicates of items(Even dupes of inaccurate items), and the most ridiculous shiat listed as "trivia", while the stuff you are actually interested in never gets added(Once again, I tried adding stuff and after a year's wait and 2 or three tries, I gave up).

Lewdux is right. They didn't live in Lascaux. They went down there for ceremonies and shiat.

Maybe all those times they bang their heads on low objects induced the sociopathy which assisted in climbing the power ladder.

At 5'8" there are already way too many low hanging objects that seem designed just to take out my forehead. I don't want to k ow what it would be like for someone 6'4 or taller.
