It's true, the guy has to use a teleprompter for everything. I remember when people gave Palin a hard time about a couple words scribbled on the palm of her hand, she ended up giving a 40 minute speech using only a few words on her hand. Obama can't remember what he ate for breakfast with out the use of a teleprompter, how sad.

Sorry, Obama is just bad with out a script and teleprompter. With them, he's one of the best orators of all time. Reagan was the same way. He was great with prepared speeches, but stank off the cuff. The master of off the cuff though was Clinton. Sure he had his gaffs, but for the most part he would school anyone else in an unprepared debate.

GW Bush on the other hand....... well it's good we gave the "special" guy a chance.

1) Why should anyone care how good an off-the-cuff speaker a president is anyway?

2) A presidential election is nothing but a popularity contest, and a big chunk of that is giving speeches.

If anything, the republicans just realize that Obama is one of the greatest speakers alive, and so instead of trying to compete, they ridicule the whole notion of giving speeches. Same thing with the LSM: not one of them can open their mouth for 15 minutes in a confrontational setting without saying something staggeringly idiotic, so they avoid it altogether and ridicule the whole institution.

It's like a football coach laughing at the opposing team for scoring so many damn touchdowns.

Ha, yes, the Republican retreat, where Obama schooled the Republicans so hard that Fox news had to cut away in the middle of it, the Republicans admitted it was a mistake to allow cameras to film the thing, at Obama's insistence, and they have never, ever, invited him to another retreat under the same circumstances for fear that they would get schooled again.
