Every Tea Party member should ask to be fired for cause, and forego unemployment benefits, just to create an even bigger burden on society.

It's the only truly patriotic option they have.

the GOP has been running a much larger version of this since they took control of congress in january. this is not a surprise. party before country is their motto.

Resolved that: The Obama administration and the Democrat-controlled Senate, in alliance with a global Progressive socialist movement, have participated in what appears to be a globalist socialist agenda of redistribution of wealth, and the waging of class warfare against our constitutional republic's heritage of BLERP AND KNEEGRAHS AND SOSHLISTS HYERP AND HYERP AND COMM'NIST KNEEGRAHS AND HYERP AND PLEECE AND BILL'NAIRES AND HYERP AND HYERP.

I have a resolution, too.

Why don't you idiot, Stalinist, redneck, boot licking cocksuckers drive your Chinese hoverounds off a precipice.

You're not Americans, you're not patriotic, you're not useful. You're belligerent, clueless dupes and Nazis. And piss poor ones at that.

I tried wading through that, but it was like a buzzword swamp.

Think I lost a shoe in there.

The Obama administration and the Democrat-controlled Senate, in alliance with a global Progressive socialist movement, have participated in what appears to be a globalist socialist agenda of redistribution of wealth, and the waging of class warfare against our constitutional republic's heritage of individual rights, free market capitalism, and indeed our Constitution itself, with the ultimate goal of collapsing the U.S. economy and globalizing us into socialism.

Wow, that's some weapons-grade derp right there. That crashing sound you hear is the Tea Party dragging the Republicans off a cliff.

bloobeary: Think I lost a shoe in there.

ROFL.

Damn treasonous Teabaggers.

Lavage the entire foot in isopropyl alcohol stat! You may be able to save the foot.

Looking at her through Google, she seems just like a random derpy forum poster who just got repeated by that website. Don't give her anymore attention. We have enough trolls around these parts.

Also found out there is a Teabook (new window).

I cannot think of a worse sentence for Teapartynation than having to use their own followers for crowdsourcing.

2011-10-19 12:23:57 AM
I'll just lay down the gauntlet right now:

I dare any of the usual right wing folks to provide a valid, logical and empirically based defense of this idea. Please explain why refusing to hire new employees meshes with the Tea Party's stated goals, and/or how this will put us on the path to a quicker recovery.

Difficulty: Links to RedState, Breitbart or Fox News are not allowed. Also, you cannot invoke Jesus. Any charts/graphs must be from a non-partisan source.

Any who get Social Security or Medicare/Medicaid should renounce that, as well. Also military pensions.

Gotta love how they're always hating on Hollywood. Question them about it and it's all about how those people are snobby elites who are paid too much, or something - never mind that it's consumer demand and the precious "free market" that sets the pay levels there just like anywhere else.

fusillade762: Wow, that's some weapons-grade derp right there.

No kidding. Took a while to even parse.

What's the "Obama is a dictator" part from though? I mean, I know he's the evil Mooslim just because, and all that, but is there some specific incident they're referring to?

What's frightening is that the conservative end of the republican party, including some of those in congress, really does seem to want the government to fail in order to show how bad this administration is or to prove that big government is bad.

We've always had partisan politics, but up until a couple decades ago, both sides really wanted the government to work, they just wanted it to work their way (except a few corrupt individuals on both sides). Now we have people who think it's best for the government to fail. And people like that actually get voted into office.

Partisan politics becomes less and less workable as the two sides get further and further from the center. As that happens, the vast majority of us, who are close to the center, are left to sit and watch as the extremists destroy our country block by block.

I'll go back to lurking now.

Actually, that's not true. If you look closely, they'll trot out the opinions of any conservative celebrities that they may have for commentary, even as they tell us how more liberal celebrities are "snobby elites" with no opinions worth redeeming. This is the whole point of Breitbart's Big Hollywood commentators like Adam Baldwin and Michael Moriarity, or the appearance of other celebrities like Craig T. Nelson, Dennis Miller, or Victoria Jackson.

All the shiate the teahadists are spewing out reinforces my opinion that they are a$$hole$.

2011-10-19 01:46:17 AM
The condensed version:

"waging of class warfare... ultimate goal of collapsing the U.S. economy... dictatorial powers... this new dictator... have committed treason... left leaning news media... anti-business, an anti-free market, and an anti-capitalist... marxists, socialists and even communists... war against business and my country..."

I think she forgot SATAN!

This is usually the part where I yell "DRINK!", but I've still got a headache from the last OWS thread I was in. Usually it was the right-wingers that brought up the Nazis, though.

The fallacy, of course, is the idea that "BOF SAIDS TEH SAEM". Only the right is doing this thing. The left has been giving ground and giving ground and giving ground; if you are, in fact, close to the "center", then that puts you toward the liberal end of the Democratic party.

Hooray! Party before country!!!

Ugh, I just tried reading that. I think I met Martin Sheen heading the other direction in a plastic riverboat.

Um guys? I think it's a joke.

2011-10-19 02:18:42 AM
My local Tea Party was out in force for an annual county festival here this past weekend. Average age: somewhere between rocks and Methuselah. They won't be a problem much longer.

2011-10-19 02:19:00 AM
This actually seems like a good idea.

By putting their seething hatred of our near president before their desire to expand their business, meet the current demand, and profit accordingly; this will create a void that can be filled -- hopefully by business owners that aren't morons.

Honestly, I don't see the problem.

2011-10-19 02:30:39 AM
These idiots love America the way spoiled rich kids love their frat house. They get all weepy about "tradition" then piss on the couch and throw the sink out the window.

2011-10-19 02:30:48 AM
Sooo...they've finally come out and admitted it, have they?

"Can we have a full list of patriotic companies who sign onto this declaration? I need to know who to do business with boycott! Please! If you agree, post the name and location of your company!"

and one of the comments really jumped out at me
This will only work if the Republican controlled House will stop funding Government hiring. Otherwise, Obama will continue to claim that his government spending is creating jobs.

if Obama, or the Dems had any spine what so ever, they would be screaming this and all of the comments from the from the mountain tops.

But they don't, so they wont

I am fully supportive of this. If morons who listen to Tea Party Nation want to refuse to respond to demand for their goods and services, then companies that are run by non-retards will pick up the slack and become bigger and more profitable.

Or to put it in a real life example:

Customer: We want to place an order for 3000 of your super premium widgets!

Company A: Absolutely! We would love to do business...err...we only have the employees to produce 2000 widgets, and we're not hiring any more because we are idiots and we are throwing a hissy fit against Obama. Is 2000 OK?

Customer: Uh...No. Company B, you have any moral obligations against producing the 3000 widgets I want?

Company B: We'd love to fill the order.

Customer: Great!

-g4lt: Isn't this opening the barn door after the horses have bolted? It's not like they were exactly rushing to hire before this declaration...

No, this is more like standing in the barn and yelling into a bullhorn to scare the few remaining horses into bolting as well, along with the cows, goats, chickens, pigs and sheep.

This has always gotten on my nerves. Conservatives are always quick to demonize liberal celebrities as not worth listening to (because Big Hollywood or whatever), and yet they trip over themselves whenever some B-list asshole voices a 'conservative' opinion, using their celebrity status to somehow justify their remarks.

Victoria Jackson is no different than that one aging, wingnut b*tch ahead of you in the grocery line last week. But hell, she was once on television. Her opinion suddenly matters now! But George Clooney and Matt Damon (both A-listers, may I add) can't be trusted because they're part of the Big Hollywood effort to destroy America, or some sh*t.

Props to whoever originally posted this. I can imagine few more appropriate descriptions of the Republican party's course over the last 20 years. Now, it has all the hallmarks of Stalin's ideological purges, or even more closely how the SS used the SA to take power and then killed or sidelined them when they were no longer useful and Ernst Rohm was questioning what happened to Hitler's campaign promises. If the tea party begins to actually question the Republicans and the right-wing media suddenly turns on them, the analogy will be practically flawless. But then again, said appropriate and going here is considered inappropriate.

/Self-Godwin?

I have a better idea. Since voting only encourages "them" and their socialist agenda, the Tea Party members should resolve not to vote in 2012.

"Stop voting to hurt Obama"

Yeah, well, just wait until they're needed again in 2012. Let's gear up for another season of barking junkyard dogs too stupid to see how they're against their own interests.

FTA: Resolved that: President Obama has seized what amount to dictatorial powers to bypass our Congress, and that because the Congress is controlled by a Progressive socialist Senate that will not impeach one of their kind, they have allowed this and yielded what are rightfully congressional powers to this new dictator.

From the US constitution: Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5

The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

What a bunch of idiots. I guess the ball's in Boehner's court. Whar impeachment Boehner, whar?!?

Dumbasses

actually the GOP and bankers did just that. but not socialism. they want a fascist state where the people work like slaves for scraps from their table. they've killed the middle class and grown fatter feasting on the corpse.

It's like an old jazz standard.

Right at that point I honestly thought the rest of the sentence was going to be a riff on the Simpson's "reverse vampires" conspiracy quote.

Company A receives no-bid government contract for 2,000 widgets at x2 the price the Customer would have paid.

Wrong. There's nothing in the middle of the road but roadkill and a yellow streak. Pick a side, or stand back while the rest of us decide your future.

The problem with this is that they need to find the exact line between having a spine but not sinking to their (R) level. I can imagine if they start seeming as petty and childish as the Right is going out of their way to act, they will turn off/away a lot of their supporters. Now obviously those supporters would never vote Republican, but they might just not vote. It's a dangerous game to play. What I'm assuming is that hope the people will see these things on their own and make up their own minds without the vile hatred and stupidity being spoon-fed to them.
