Oh, is this one of those "we have to cover both sides of the story even when there's only one side of the story" biatchfests? I love those.

Sounds like accurate reporting to me.

The truth has a liberal bias, apparently.

Just so I have both sides of the story, can anyone direct me to the FOX News articles on Mr. Murdoch's problems with the NewsCorp phone hacking scandal?

To me, saying the media has a liberal bias is akin to saying the slaves that built the pyramids determined their eventual shape.

2011-10-18 10:08:45 PM
To be fair, it is impossible to show Rupert Murdoch being ethical. It's like trying to show why a boulder is in fact quite squishy.

No, but I'm sure there's a few clips of Fox and Friends of Steve Doocy explaining how that isn't important compared to Obama'shiatler Similarity Index.

"Pot/kettle" retorts are misdirection. The pot's color doesn't change this or affect this. If the kettle is black, it's black.

As I sit here in my home office, I indignantly say "I would not sell my soul". I've left jobs over principle, as recently as '08. The job market was good then. I moved up and was fortunate.

I still could not sell my soul if it happened today. But I'd consider my tactics more carefully, as I rely on a paycheck.

Has anyone ever come up with an example showing NPR's liberal bias? I know it was asked for 100s of times when congress called an emergency session to defund them.

On a more serious note, you know the people who built the pyramids weren't slaves, right?

The logic goes that if they're protesting in New York, then they aren't calling out Congress as well. The irony is that the protest has spread all over the place including to D.C., rendering the argument moot.

After all, it has to start somewhere and Wall Street is as good a place as any.

Since I don't watch all the news channels 24/7, I may have missed video of the OWS asking for the heads of the government officials who helped cause all this. Link me some stuff.

So diaphoresis, was NPR biased in its coverage of the Newscorp scandal or not?

2011-10-18 11:22:25 PM
When Rupert Murdoch was found to be illegally wiretapping british citizens, and the head of Scotland Yard had to step down because he was in Rupert's back pocket, they didn't show how MSNBC did the same thing, so SOCIALIST MEDIA LIB BIAS EQUIVALENCY

diaphoresis: Not sure what you're implying... as a guess, you think Juan sold his soul to go work for Fox? If so, I pity you.

Hyperbole, yes. Juan spoke his mind (and to be truthful, I too would be watchful of Arabic young men on a plane...) and I respect his position. However, I find that Fox has gone above and beyond to overextend hyperbole to the right (with paranoia and distrust and borderline sedition) so yeah, I feel like he was grasping for a paycheck, with no thought of the big picture and how they would use his political positions. But who am I? Juan draws a healthy paycheck, performs a job as the resident libby, and if he is allowed to offer a fair and balanced opinion, then good on Fox. I may not agree with him 100%, but the man is smart .
