"I want him to sit in jail and think about what he did so this doesn't happen again," said Christole Abdelmaseh.

Alpharetta police said they took a report on the incident, but were under the impression Abdelmaseh wasn't going to press charges.

The complaintant wants the suspect to sit in jail and think about what he did, and yet hasn't filed charges yet?

Wow...what a dumbass. it doesn't matter if your precious wants something, you don't touch someone else's kid like that to do it, you wait your turn...good example there grandpa.

Something tells me he's lucky mom was there with child and not dad.

Since we've only got one side of the story, I'm willing to bet that precious was hogging the swing and refused to take turns. And, for that matter, precious was nudged off rather than "slammed".

I'd take this story a little more seriously if she'd actually pressed charges. A grown man throwing a little girl to the ground would be something someone should go to jail for.

And we wonder why it seems as though so many kids these days are entitled little twats.

Hint: they didn't start off that way.

I don't even know where to start with this one.

Well, let's start here.

"Abdelmaseh said her daughter has been traumatized by the experience."

I dunno. Sounds kinda Muslimish to me. Maybe he thought the kid could have been wired up to a bomb, and hitting the ground would have diffused the explosives by breaking the brittle electronic ignition device.

Now discuss.

She may have thought she was pressing charges when she called the police. Sounds like a miscommunication between her and the cops.

The police don't sound too concerned...and how the fark did this make news? All clues point to an attention whore Mom, looking to blow a small incident into something more.

Something about this reminds me of the guy who'd pinch or kick small children at Walmart because he got satisfaction from hearing them scream.

Am I the only one who remembers that one?

Remember, it's important to lift FROM THE KNEES and NOT THE BACK when body slamming toddlers. This is especially true for seniors.

Yea, the town I live & work in has finally made Fark!

While I would normally be calling for a good ass-thumping of the perp, I find it interesting the article has little more than the woman's shrill. From what I've seen around here, a sideways glance at someone's unmannered piece of crotchfruit is deemed a full assault.

Let's face it; if this guy had actually touched the kid, he would have been hauled off and had to register as a predator.

If it had been my 5 year old I would be wearing his intestines as a necktie, and then I would have yanked his eyeballs out and stomped on them, and then I would have broken all of his fingers and toes one by one, and then I would have peed on him.

Lone Stranger: If that had been my kid he pushed off the swing

Oh, stow it, Internet Tough Guy. If that was your kid, you would'nt have said shiat. And if you did, it would have ended with you crying like a ten year old girl with a skinned knee, after getting your candy-ass kicked.

Poor Sin_City_Superhero, I hope you don't have any kids. It would stink to have such a weak father for a protector.

Well, think about it: getting the other side of this story would involve interviewing Grandpa Piledriver. If this guy lifted and threw a child over a mild inconvenience, it's not hard to imagine what he would do to an annoying reporter.

He'd also cuff his keys in his fist with one key poking out, so when he hit a kid in the back of their head they'd bleed.

yeah, he was a real winner. I think I remember his daughter or someone sticking up for him by saying he's had such a hard life, being bi-polar and all.

Yeah, because beating the shiat out of an old man and being arrested for assault in front of your kid is the optimum outcome for this situation. Sure, it's one thing to defend your kid against an ongoing attack, but you can't retaliate for an attack that's already occurred. You call the police, just like this lady did.

I have just a little sliver of doubt here.

It could be that the the "victim" was one of those kids who rushes to block whatever piece of playground equipment some other kid, usually a smaller one, wants to use.

And, it could be that grandpa just stopped the bigger kid.

TFA doesn't really give enough info, just accusations from one kid's mom.

We don't really know who was being the precious snowlake parent here. It could be that the "victim" was being a brat and mom wasn't controlling her, so one of the other kids' parents had to.

2011-10-18 11:28:27 AM
This story doesn't add up. I'm thinking there is a very different side of this story as told from the other adult.

That being said, I've never seen a playground with only one swing. Are we to believe the other swings were also being used and this mean old man just picked this particular girl to hurl to the ground?

Right in front of your kid, and his grand kid? That's just adding trauma to the little flakes.

You should try more subtle modes of revenge, such as going to his house and trash his car while yelling "This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps".

2011-10-18 11:29:43 AM
So what happens when she grows up and wants a car? Is her grandfather going to steal it for her?

And?

First come first served there is no rules on a playground that you have to take turns. It is not excuse for any adult to touch a child even if it was a nudge. If you think this excuse the assholes grandpa's behavior then you are a farking retard.

If a guy picks up your kid and throws them to the ground, I believe you could take a couple of shots, and then stand on his neck until the cops got their citing he assualted your kid and you subdued him and you didn't know what he was going to do next. It's not like these people are finding out an hour later, it was within seconds.

You throw my kid off the swing and they will be pulling me off of you when the police arrive. They'll have to call your family to id you because your head will be shoved so far up your ass. Seriously, WTF is wrong with poeple.
