It's funny because, along with the overused idea that Obama can't talk without a teleprompter, Obama literally lost his planned speech, leaving him "speechless" -- literally, "without a speech."

I realize every president and most public speakers use teleprompters. I don't judge anyone's intelligence by that.

Honestly, I don't think he looked particularly like a chimp, so I didn't find that really funny either. "Chimpy McFlightsuit," however, was pretty good, as it pulled in some extra elements for the joke. Combining an overused joke with current events can have some pretty great results.

Honestly, he really should learn to stop turning his head between those precise two angles every few seconds during a speech. I can see how people would find it really distracting, and he has hundreds of speeches left to give in his life.
