Had this been Tea Party folks, they would have refused that couple because as Libertarians, they would only care for themselves and no one else.

Who would want a bunch of smelly hippies in their wedding photos?

Oh this is Ohio? Nevermind.

PsiChi: Sweet!

This. I imagine that years down the road, when the reality of being married kicks in, they'll at least get to enjoy their unique wedding pics.

No lie, I went to a wedding right after Sept 11 in Washington, DC and the bridal party wanted pictures in Lafayette Park, which is right across from the front of the White House. Since the Afghanistan bombing campaign had just started, the park was full of protesters who were sitting in a "peace circle" right where you would stand to take a picture of the White House. They refused to move, so thanks to a really good photographer they shot a series of pictures with the protesters cropped out (they were all sitting on the ground, it wasn't difficult).

I remember thinking at the time "they could just move for ten minutes and then take pictures with the wedding party and everybody would be happy". Kudos to these guys for being nice.

A communist wedding?

No, just a regular wedding.

Communist photos?

Why do you always do that!?

I might have missed it, since it was a short article, but I didn't see anything in there about the protestors even being aware of the wedding/wedding photos/anything else.

Is there some sort of evil-universe fox news that you're getting this info from?

did they accidentally the protesters?

SUBBY FAIL! He either didn't read the article carefully, or linked to the wrong article.

The article subby linked to mentions NOTHING about the protestors being willing to clear the park for the couple.

According to the article the couple knew the park was occupied with protestors, who they support, and they thought it was be great to take pictures with them.

CINCINNATI --A bride and groom reached out Occupy Cincinnati protesters to be part of their wedding day. Before her wedding, bride-to-be Caroline Hyatt had planned to attend the protest, but was too busy planning for the wedding. She says the couple had already planned to go to occupied Piatt (PY'-uht) Park for pictures and they thought it would be great to make the protesters, whom they support, part of their important day. "We wanted them to be a part of our photos, and they were warmly accommodating," said groom Nathan C. Lee. The protesters have been camping in the park for just more than a week in protest of what they say is too much corporate influence in American government. They say they have no intention of leaving any time soon.

Don't knock it. That union got that guy Friday night steak and blow jobs and all he had to give up in exchange was that he can no longer leave his underwear on the floor...

Good on Occupy Cinci for the high-road move, and cooler still for the wedding party bringin' 'em in for some pictures.

Ha. Wow, ok.

You may need a new hobby because turning unrelated stories in to a criticism of the teaparty is coming off as a bit creepy.

I mean your post makes as much sense as saying "yeah if this were a union protest they would have broken these 'scabs' knees then taken a mandated 30 minute smoke break".

The article I read yesterday says that the protesters noticed that someone had reserved the park for a wedding. They cleaned the park up, removed all their stuff and relocated to another park. The couple was disappointed as they wanted to be there with the protesters and tracked them down. They were happy for the protest and wanted it to be a part of their wedding photos. Article even had pics of the couple with the protesters and the park in question.

I was a bit surprised they did the right thing, not because of being protesters, but of human nature.

I was at a wedding this past weekend outside this park in Cincinnati, so I'm getting a kick out of this thread

/Different bride and groom tho
//This one was none too pleased with the location of the protests
