Use the Layer > Matting > Defringe option. You've got funny shoops, just some technical advice.

The rifle from the movie was an M14 rifle - 7.62x51mm NATO round

The rifle you have pictured is a M16 - which fires a completely different round - 5.56x45mm NATO round

So, yea, that doesn't work....

Thanks. Like my golf game, I've been hacking at it without a clue. I'm just now starting to read some help topics and will steer myself to finding out what defringe means. Been enjoying your work...

It just means take the fuzzy edge off of a layer. If I'm right, and you're using PS then look up at the menu bar. Click 'Layer' then at the bottom of that is 'Matting'. Used the 'Defringe' option to smooth the cutouts a bit.

Just experiment, it's all fun, and learning is part of the fun!
