That's fascinating. Carnotaurus is one of those oddball dinosaurs that doesn't look like it should have been any good at what it did. Tiny forelimbs, (comparatively) thin jaw, short horns. Crichton decided to make it a chameleon for The Lost World to justify its ability to hunt. Fun to see that it was a charger, rather fitting considering its name.

It's days like these that make me glad I'm an expert on dinosaur anatomy and bone/muscle structure. Hopefully they release a picture someday to help the other folks who can not visualize WTF was just said in that article.

Definitely dark meat. Those muscles in the tail connect with the hips and femur, so they'd be in almost constant use.
