Then I hope they're intellectually consistent by prescribing the death penalty for abortion doctors, life in prison for mothers who have abortions, and ban abortion in the cases of rape, incest and the health of the mother.

They'll also need involuntary manslaughter charges for miscarriage.

Child endangerment for pregnant mothers behaving beyond what most would consider acceptable while expecting.

Also, if a pregnant woman commits a murder, does the unborn child get charged with accessory to commit murder? LOL

I say push it back even further. It should be illegal to even think about sex. Thinking about sex can ultimately result in a child. So let's ban the thought of sex, and hasten our extinction as a species. I'm so over this planet.

Also pregnant women shouldn't be in cars because it amounts to a child not properly restrained in a child safety seat.

Well, they picked the least educated, poorest, teabagger state in the nation to help them pass it. They may have a chance.

Any word on tax breaks for fertilization? Or will they still have to wait for it to be a viable human being? Funny how that works out. Or is it?

2011-10-17 11:34:18 AM
So will people be able to drink at 20 years and three months? Vote at 17 and three months?

But really, let's not politicize abortion, right?

So, logically, the state of Mississippi will criminalize masturbation?

Good thing I am in Ohio, or else I would have blood on my hands (and couch, and socks, and floor, and sheets, and pillows, and frying pans, and welcome mat -- wait what?).

Dunno about the effectiveness of this law. Lawyers are going to have a hard time proving Mississippians are actually people.

Only if they criminalize menstration.

Outlaw all forms of birth control too!

So, every woman who miscarriages should be thrown in prison.

Abortion and the death penalty are murder.

Sometimes murder is the least shiatty of the options.

On the other hand, does this mean that MS is going to start funding prenatal care for mothers?

2011-10-17 11:50:27 AM
If you want to get technical about it, life started once billions of years ago and has been continuing since then. Having children isn't making new life; it's branching a 'piece' of life off of the parents to continue on its own.

It's all just one big chain of life.

Oh, sorry, this is Mississippi. Change the billions of years part to 6000 years.

To be fair, that's not actually a bad idea.

Menstration is gross.

Will identical twins have to share a single vote in elections?

Will chimeras be given two votes? If a chimera has the smaller twin removed, is that the same as abortion?

True human life begins when there is a soul in the body. That may happen before birth, or it can actually happen after the birth of the baby. Some cases of crib death occur because no soul has gone into that body.

The majority of souls enter the baby body at around three months before birth.

/Correspondingly, some cases of Alzheimer's occur because the soul has begun to make its transition to the other side.

murder: the illegal killing of one human being by another

If abortion ain't illegal, it ain't murder.

the cells of a tumor can die too. if it can't function on its own without being connected to mom, it's still just a tumor. this is called the concept of "viability."

What about fertility clinics that store fertilized eggs for implantation?? Fertility clinics are now obligated to save every fertilized egg forever or be charged with murder??

I guess I should start buying stock in liquid nitrogen.

Actually, no. That's still cool. You could also use condoms. As long as the egg isn't fertilized, you are still legal.

However, IUD, Birth Control Pills and most forms of feminine birth control used over the last 30 years? Right out the window.

Add to that every single egg fertilized at a fertilization clinic is now a "person" and could sue for wrongful imprisonment by those mean doctors that didn't put them in a womb? Yeah, this law is beyond dumb.

But, I have little faith in my fellow Mississippians. Most can't get past the "ABORTION BAD!" screaming to realize that they will have their nice little daily pill taken away from them by this law.

2011-10-17 11:56:06 AM
A great way to highlight the absurdity of this idea is to have women head down to vital records en masse every time their period is late to apply for a birth certificate, and then again when they finally get their period to apply for a death certificate.

2011-10-17 11:56:47 AM
No more in vitro for them...

Since several embryos may be implanted, and all may not prosper in the womb, there is frequently a need to abort one or more embryos in order that at least one will survive until birth.

Mississippi has been a third world shiat hole since forever. This new law isn't going to change that.
