Thats some robocop 2 stuff, there.

this guy is a fizzle, he'll never end up being the nominee.

Classy!

2011-10-16 08:43:31 AM
I guess he is trying to pick up the crazy voters from Bachman's collapsing campaign.

The fact that tens of millions of American voters take these dangerously unhinged crackpots seriously is deeply disturbing

2011-10-16 08:48:00 AM
He's really got that Uncle Tom vote all wrapped up with a bow, doesn't he?

2011-10-16 08:49:51 AM
What's up with the Chilean flag behind him?

I realize that the flags from Texas and Chile are quite similar, but still... fail.

/Cain's a tool, too.

2011-10-16 08:50:37 AM
And then to avoid all the bodies piling up along the fence, you could just throw them into some sort of American melting pot

2011-10-16 08:51:06 AM
Ah yes, the Loony Tunes doctrine of national security.

2011-10-16 08:51:32 AM
I saw that the article writer said that he'd build an electrified fence to kill illegal aliens but I never actually saw where Cain said that...

Interesting.

Headso: this guy is a fizzle, he'll never end up being the nominee.

He wants to abolish Social Security (not privatize it, or even phase it out. He wants ts to destroy it cold turkey and dump millions of old & disabled people onto some church's porch and let them deal with it). Imagine being diabetic and having to desperately beg for money to buy insulin to survive one more day. if you don't make quota, you're dead.

AND on top of that, he wants to jack up and extra whopping +30% tax on everything (that 9% is a lie. When you get to the math, it's going to be more like 30).

This lunatic has become a mortal enemy of both Liberal and Conservative alike!

Yeah, and ex Federal Reserve goon who wants to throw old & crippled people into the gutter, jack up your taxes, and give the filthy rich free reign to do whatever they damn well want AT whomever they damn well want.

The Koch brothers can shovel all the money they want into Cain's campaign. NO ONE in their right mind is going to vote for this creep.

As deep as hell and high as Mir!

Does he have any idea how expensive that would be? It's over 2000 miles. We'd need a 10-10-10 plan to pay for it.

FTFA first sentence: If Herman Cain becomes president, he'll build an electrified border fence that could kill Mexicans who try to illegally cross into the U.S., the Republican candidate said Saturday.

Yeah wow, it sure does take some kinda mental calisthenics to find that in the article alrighty.

2011-10-16 08:55:18 AM
He also said he want to use the military "with real guns and real bullets". Guess he never heard of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 that prohibits using the military for law enforcement purposes within the United States without the consent of Congress or the Constitution.

Why not just put out tables along the border loaded with that nasty pizza Godfather's makes? That shiat should kill illegals off without the need to resort to electrified fences.

I'd love to see the math on the cost of running electrical current through this fence 24/7 365 days a year vs the cost of some insulated wire cutters.

2011-10-16 09:02:20 AM
There are electrified fences all throughout the US that can kill legal citizens if they choose to break the law. What is so special about illegal aliens that they shouldn't have to fry on an electrified fence if they choose to break the law?

jakomo002: Yeah wow, it sure does take some kinda mental calisthenics to find that in the article alrighty.

It's in the New York Times: (new window)

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain said Saturday that part of his immigration policy would be to build an electrified fence on the country's border with Mexico that could kill people trying to enter the country illegally.

The remarks, which came at two campaign rallies in Tennessee as part of a barnstorming bus tour across the state, drew loud cheers from crowds of several hundred people at each rally. At the second stop, in Harriman, Tenn., Mr. Cain added that he also would consider using military troops "with real guns and real bullets" on the border to stop illegal immigration.

Again, I read what the article writer wrote aboute what Cain said. I didn't see quotes, I didn't see context, all I read was what the writer's opinion of what Cain's position was.

Don't be so douchey right off the bat. It makes me want to comment on your mom's prowess on my junk...

Yes, I'm sure those Mesicans are too stupid and backward as to know how to disable a fence with electricity running through it. Why such an object would be absolutely tamper-proof, right?

Illegal is illegal. Under President Cain, all crimes will be punishable by the death penalty.

That's an assertion, not an opinion. Example: "Last night a convenience store was robbed." That's an assertion. "It doesn't matter whether Cain specifically said that we should fry Mexicans or shoot them, he calls for killing them, and therefore considers illegal border crossing to be a capital crime." That's an opinion.

If the journalist said that Cain said something, and Cain didn't, the journalist either made a mistake, or lied. But at no point did he express an opinion.

"We need to stop throwing our money away on useless junk, like for example, Social Security in the future for people who haven't retired yet, but aren't currently old enough to always vote against politicians who talk about Social Security cuts. We should put that money into job creation programs. Like for example 10,000 miles of electrified fence that will kill thousands of Mexicans every year."

Anyway, this guy goes on Meet the Press this morning, and that will probably be the end of him.

Immediate summary execution for anyone who touches a fence. I suppose the fence will be programmed to determine if said person is some dirty messican or just a joe blow taking a wizz from our side of the border.

Due process FTW!

Impact?
What, are we going to throw the fence at the beaners Subby?

It's an act. They're all in on it. The ones who are clearly over-the-top loudmouths spout crap that will obviously not pass muster. Their role is to act as a foil to the winner candidate who becomes the voice of reason during the election. Meanwhile the rest of the lot get cush jobs as commentators or lobbyists. It's a scam on the values voters, and that's sort of sad, but the leadership doesn't care because there's money in it.

He's running for President of Chile. As long as he gets the campaign literature in Spanish and English, he saves money. Two campaigns for the price of one. What a genius!

And this dumb son of a biatch is the Tea Party's last, best hope? Hah! What's he gonna do when he realizes that tunnels can be dug, or boats can be used, etc.? Or is he just hoping the GOP primary voters are dumb enough not to figure that out? (Not a bad bet, really.)

So wait. Is the fence to protect Chile from illegal American immigrants, or to protect America from illegal Chilean immigrants?

I liked the original article where Michelle Bachman said she was going to build a double fence to one up him.

Should he get his 999 plan through, I think that illegal immigration will be the least of Americas concerns

So when do they reveal the "I'm not batshiat crazy like the rest of them" candidate? If you're thinking it's Romney I've got some bad news for you.

HE CAN'T WIN.

The problem is that, even though he's "one of the good ones" as far as many bigots are concerned, there are still enough racist jerkbags in the Tea Party and GOP who won't, under ANY circumstances, pull the lever for a Black man.

So he doesn't have the Hispanic vote, and he doesn't have the bulk of the racist white Tea Party vote, and he doesn't have the down-south bigoted Republican vote. He CAN'T win. Not even on his best day.

The only way Cain would have a worse result on election day is if Cain were a lesbian, too.
