RIP, Whitey.

2003-09-26 05:40:30 PM
Damn...

2003-09-26 05:40:37 PM
Reading comprehension is so overrated:

Fafara died in a Portland, Oregon, hospital on Saturday, Sept. 20

Move along, nothing to see here.

2003-09-26 05:40:56 PM

I'm out $5. My money was on Ronald Reagan.

2003-09-26 05:43:47 PM
I don't think he counts as a celebrity anymore. Sorry.

2003-09-26 05:44:05 PM
Anyone else not care?

2003-09-26 05:44:32 PM
Countdown to Whitey being remembered as a theatric tour-de-force in 5...4...3...

2003-09-26 05:45:05 PM
What about Lumpy? Won't someone please think of Lumpy?!?

2003-09-26 05:45:28 PM

2003-09-26 05:46:23 PM
Now I feel bad for all of the times I said "Kill Whitey."

2003-09-26 05:46:39 PM
I call racism. If there had been a person of color on the show would they have called him 'Blackie'?

RIP, Stan. I assume brother Tiger Farfara (Tooey) is still scratching.

2003-09-26 05:46:45 PM
Thank God, now maybe you dorks will stop submitting "third death" bogus trifecta posts

2003-09-26 05:47:17 PM
"Hallman, who had kept in touch with Fafara since writing a profile of him in December 2002, said the former actor already was weakened by a hepatitis C infection contracted years ago from intravenous drug use. "

A cleancut young child actor turning to drugs? This is a first!

2003-09-26 05:48:47 PM
Who?
Moving on...

2003-09-26 05:49:06 PM
... but descended into a real-life adulthood of drugs, alcohol and petty crime, has died at age 53, friends said on Friday.

2003-09-26 05:51:25 PM
I woulda put Edward Said's death as more important than Whitey's... but hey that's me.

2003-09-26 05:51:47 PM
This sounds bad! Let's get out of here!!!

Poor Whitey. I always liked him better than Larry Mondello

2003-09-26 05:52:07 PM
Whitey died yesterday, I already posted this w/ George Plimpton

2003-09-26 05:52:18 PM
Not a trifecta. Trifecta with Gordon Jump, maybe.

And elypse is right about Edward Said.

2003-09-26 05:52:19 PM
Sent off to live with his sister in Jamaica, he returned to Los Angeles at age 22 and started dealing drugs. -
Where else would you sent a teenager on drugs to live but in Jamaica, thats funny

2003-09-26 05:53:29 PM
i thought he and the beaver died together in 'nam right after wally came out of the closet and ward confessed his love for wearing lingere?

2003-09-26 05:53:50 PM
I'm gonna get me a shotgun and kill all the Whitey's I see

2003-09-26 05:54:02 PM
briefly lived in a house with members of the rock band Paul Revere and the Raiders

Who had a hit with an anti-drug song ("Kicks").

These guys still tour the state-fair circuit. They're silly but fun.

2003-09-26 05:54:56 PM
my name is casper.. but my friends call me whitey

2003-09-26 05:56:54 PM
can we get a "Dead Celebrity" tag?

2003-09-26 05:56:54 PM
Man, you get on TV a couple times and people can write whatever they want about you after you die. After reading this, I bet most people are glad he's dead. If you're anonymous, at least they don't explain in detail how you died or what you life was like in your obit.

2003-09-26 05:57:24 PM
anyone have a pic o whitey?

2003-09-26 05:57:31 PM
Wrong Whitey.

This was the kid who shouted "Pull yourself up Beaver! Put your foot on the lady's thumb!" when they were investigating a billboard.

The article sadly makes it sound like Fafara's life was mostly one of crime, but apparently he still had an artistic leaning as evidenced by a website he seems to have been working on:

Stanley Fafara's Website

(graphics and sound intensive)

2003-09-26 06:00:21 PM
Who? Who? And another Who Cares?

2003-09-26 06:01:46 PM
No!! He was such a good actor. I loved him in Sling-Blade. And what a musican! Who will ever forget, " (You're gonna have to face it, it's) The Dick that you love"? And, wow. Was he a man of letters. Really quite the writer.

What a day.

/got nuthin'

2003-09-26 06:02:36 PM
You mean people die?

2003-09-26 06:04:27 PM

2003-09-26 06:10:58 PM
Awww, crap.

2003-09-26 06:11:36 PM
I would say Edward Said was the start of this trifecta -- but he's not exactly famous.

2003-09-26 06:15:12 PM

/June Cleaver 1965
