Seems Jeremy Hollinger's father is Dr. Faron Hollinger, retiring Superintendent of Schools for Baldwin County, just a few minutes down I-10 from Mobile. Awkward.

But back in Mobile, Eichold-Mertz Elementary School earns a greatschools.org "GreatSchools Rating" of 2 out of 10, based on its state test results. So there's room for growth. Go Tigers!

Okay, the helmet I can see if the kid needed it.

I don't get what the big farking deal is about the statuses is though. Crayons were surely on the menu, and I've read that shiat on the floor is pretty damn common in the SPED room. So..... apart from Facebooking on the job, I don't see what that's a problem :\ Those weren't even offensive statuses.

Did he wear the helmet when the kid was supposed to have it on? TFA says it was for PE, not in general.

Other than that... I really don't care. The kids aren't going to be on failbook reading his statuses, all he's done is offend a few parents. Not the smartest move for his career but hardly immoral either.

NEWSFLASH: Teaching handicapped kids is a thankless job with NO monetary incentive other than possible pension if you ride it out and get promoted.

Amazingly, this wonderful combination attracts nobody whatsoever and anybody with any favors to call in calls them in to avoid the job.

And then it's news when the people teaching special needs kids are often less than ideal.

But teachers make too much money and they should be punished for striking to receive medical and a living wage.

He was letting off steam! If you think that before the internet there was no 'shop' humor around the teachers' lounge about the retards, you are sadly mistaken. Try dealing with fecal matter, drool, vomit, and other bodily fluids all day, not to mention all the other issues, and not have an outlet. You'd wind up really needing a seizure helmet.
